Benchmark Scores 3050 scores good 15-20% lower than average, despite ASUS's claims that it has uber cooling.
"Targeting 1080p" has nothing to do with it, games are not written that way.
Says who?

Games are written in exactly that way, target resolution/perf constrains scene comlexity.

could squeeze much more performance out of the hardware, it usually comes down to poor code quality.

Good. I own a FullHD TV which is perfect for what I need, and hopefully I can show the middle fingers to nGreedia and have a console to play for years.
One condition to be is to add Keyboard and Mouse support like the X-Bone.

Anyone who knows how 3D rendering works, knows most of rendering on the GPU is performed without the context of screen resolution. Vertex shading, geometry shading and tessellation is performed completely resolution independent. Fragment shading and post-processing is density aware, but usually not aware of the size of the viewport.

3D-rendering in Direct3D, OpenGL and Vulkan can fundamentally scale to any resolution, the only difference resolution makes is how visible the details or lack of details will be. Unless there is something very funky going on in post-processing effects, any game should be able to scale up in resolution. And there is not any special features or code to "optimize" a game for 1080p, which will make the game suck at higher resolutions.

If a game wants to render higher resolution models and more advanced animations for different resolutions, the game have to be coded explicitly to do so.

Dear god...
There is still time to ask for forgiveness ;)

No games are coming close to utilizing the full potential in current hardware. In today's market, game development is driven by short-term financial gains, not by technical achievements. The coders are usually moved from project to project, and long-term maintainability and overall quality of code is usually not prioritized. It has become more and more common that games are nearly "broken" when released, and only sort of works after 3-6 months of patchwork.

Bullshit.

Also, water is wet and the sun is hot.

That has nothing to do with the point raised, higher resolution means higher strain on GPUs.

...any game should be able to scale up in resolution...
Without dropping FPS, right? Dear god, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SMOKING?

Navi delayed = PS5 delayed

Wonder if Ryzen 3### is delayed too. If yes, TSMC could be having problems.

All of the games they wanted to show were probably targeting PS5.

no no no, they still got last of us 2, death stranding, FFVII remake, etc - plus all the third party exclusives. i honestly think they have bad management at the moment, only company to not allow crossplay etc... a real shame they are acting this way.
