AMD Brisbane 5600+ overheating

I'm trying to solve my wife's bro problem. All games start to drop FPS/stutter after a moment of playing. I narrowed down that its CPU heat causing the problem but the heat sink is stock AMD and it seems to be running fine when I switch to a x1 sempron CPU which works in 20-30 Celsius. This Brisbane goes up to 100degrees in CPU temp while gaming.
Tried case open and all other obvious things. I tried Google and some people reported that CPU overheating but didn't find any solution.
Motherboard is Asus M2N-CM (nforce 630).

cooler has worked fine for me with warmer chips under it. try an inexpensive aftermarket cooler. $30 xigmatek or something along those lines.

if it has a smaller case that can't fit a 120mm HSF

Make sure the voltage(Vcore) in the bios isn't at some crazy level. It should be ~1.4v or lower (most i have seen are around 1.35v or less)

Cooler Master Gemini II may solve your problem, should fit case.

first check your airflow it should from front into rear
what about the fan, replace thre old fan
thermal paste could affect the performance too and if you wanna try, try lapping the hsf it could reduce the temp little bit
it all those aint work you need to buy after market hsf
