Indeed, I had some stability issues with 12.8s: bluescreens and Firefox would continuously crash until I disabled hardware acceleration.

I just upgraded to the 12.9's about 5 minutes ago. I didn't have any issues with the 12.8's though. I am just OCD when it comes to updating.

Well I do have 6990s, the problem may be not showing up on GCN.

Those still have a decent resale value, if it were me, I would Ebay them both, and pick up a GTX 690, GTX 690 total price would be about $150. Just my two cents.

Are they behind in the drivers? I mean it is almost the end of the month so that would make them 12.10 when they come out right? How long till they are official?

Whoa, okay so I thought that was just me and my dumb 5850s. I too have had massive problems with Flash player and Firefox off my cards. Frequent tab loading freezes, unresponsiveness that looks like an I/O or IRQ error, and Firefox eventually crashing within 5-10 minutes.

Are you saying 12.9 betas have fixed that radrok? You've turned back on Hardware Acceleration in Firefox and Youtube works like it did in the past??

The modded driver works far better with little to no problems and faster than the ones released by amd http://benchmark3d.com/amd-catalyst-12-9-beta-9-001-7900-mod http://benchmark3d.com/amd-catalyst-12-9-beta-9-001-benchmark/3

This driver will disable your cards Power Saving functions, this should remove the clocks going haywire and remove OC flickering.

^ I don't have this or any other issue with 12.9 beta. I did have it (every once in a while) with 12.6's and 12.7 beta.

I can recommend the 12.9 betas for sure.

Yes it's fixed for me, the only issue I am having is camera shake in 3Ds Max but I do have Quadro cards for that so it's a non issue. OpenGL has never been good on ATI

Aero doesn't want to work with these drivers. Working fine. :)

My aero isnt working with these drivers. :banghead:

Im using a single 6970 on a Windows 7 64bit system.

any ideas on how to get it to work besides reverting back to 12.8?

wow, now I can't even launch F1 2012. It says I need a DX10 or DX11 card. dafuq?

My guess is October 26 or before that date.;) Think of what OS is out that week.

Just wanted to chip in that I've installed these for my crossfire set up and it's been a breeze. On 12.8 the zero core feature for crossfire (for me) was patchy. With 12.9 beta's the zero core works flawlessly (literally i alt-tab to desktop from game and the 2nd gpu drops immediately).

I'm getting 98% gpu usage on BF3 from both cores and silly fps. Played 2 1/2 hours last night and not a single hint of an issue. Also work well on GW2 (though usage is lower, which isn't a problem as it's well into triple figure fps, so i wouldn't want full usage).

Nice drivers.
