My main rig is basically complete so its time to focus on the living room, Blu-Ray focus really. I'm planning to build a HTPC that will have a dual purpose. File server and media center. Here is a list of the parts in mind:

AMD Athlon X2 4850e 2.5GHz CPU (link)
ASUS M3A78-EM 780G Motherboard (link)
G.Skill DDRII 800Mhz 4GB|2x2GB Memory (link)
Lite-On Blu-Ray Drive (link)
Adesso WKB-3000UB Wireless Mini Keyboard (link)
Western Digital Black 500GB 32MB Cache Hard Drive (link)

Still deciding on the case. I will be piecing this together over the next couple months. :rockout:

Any suggestions?

Just remember that if you have XP, you have to jump through fiery hoops to get blu-ray playability, and you have a total of about 2 software players to choose from (regardless if you have the codecs or not) which is corel, and powerdvd 7 BD and later.
However, once you do, its a beautiful thing, blu-ray on full 1080p is awesome.

I'm kinda liking the cheap rosewill cases. I have a good " hidden " spot for the htpc so visuals don't matter to me. This thing is cheap, $19.99. I already have a 500w PSU, case is all I need.

The OS will be Vista no doubt.

PowerDVD rocks. Don't ever go near or even think about Corel's WinDVD in your dream. WinDVD is horrible. I had tough time in making that POS work for my friend's HDPC build. Finally I gave up and gave my PDVD ultra to him.
