Dumb question, but what help do you need? If your pocket book can afford it, get the best one..... 8300 or 8500.

Indeed if you can afford the top model get it but make sure your mobo supports it and update the bios. FX8350 is the top model at the moment.

I was asking for help cuz I saw some peoples said that fx-8300 isn't good enough and 6300 is better !!! and I saw that the difference between the 8300 and the 8350 not huge ! so im asking about the best 1 in gaming performance and multitasking

I'm very happy with my AMD FX-8350. I don't overclock so I don't know what to say about that topic, but it's a nice CPU.

I have the 6300 and it is a very good chip.

It is currently OC'd from 3.5 to 4.2 on air and runs fine.

You can overclock them pretty high, but once you get above 4.6 things get really hot.
My vote would be for an FX-8320, I have one and it is pretty nice. It's only $20 dollars more than the FX-6350.

I would not listen to those people. They are incorrect. FX 8XXX processors have more cores and more L2 Cache plus the IMC is higher.

People recommend the FX-6XXX processors because they are cheaper and perform the same or better in most games.

The reason they perform the same or better is because most games don't use the extra 2 cores on the FX-8XXX series.

Games also like higher clocks instead of more cores, and since the FX-6XXX series boost higher they perform better.

The extra L2 doesn't matter because the extra L2 isn't shared with the other cores, so the effective L2 per core remains the same.

For the average user the IMC is effective identical, the small difference in memory bandwidth isn't going to make any real-world difference.

How can a 6 core processor be better than a 8 core processor of the same architecture?

If your budget supports an FX 8300 then go for it, the FX 6300 is for people with smaller pockets that want better value for money. Eric_Cartman summed it up nicely.

First things first you'll need a decent MOBO Here is a list of different brands and power systems.
If you're going to go with the 8xxx series get something with a minimum 8+2 phase power section. Avoid the MSI boards cause so far user experience has been terrible. The jury is still out on the newer GD80 have seen only one and so far not bad. The newer Giga 990FXUD3 rev.3 boards are causing problems too, the older rev do fine.
Get some decent cooling the stock HS are barely adequate.
If you go with the 6xxx series you could get away with a 6+2 power section like the ASUS M5A 99FX Pro,. Personally I'd still spen the extra $30 and get something with some beef to it.

When OC'ing the 6 series will clock nearly as high as the 8 but takes more V_core for same clocks not a lot but more.
Don't think you'd see a difference in gaming but video rendering or Bluray work you will. All depends on what you use it for.
I'm very happy with my 8350 had a few growing pains with it cause they're hot and hungry for power. You also need a good stable PSU. And would suggest ram in the 1866 to 2133 range.

Here's a chrt put together by a good OC'er with a HD water cooling system. Direct comparison of V_core between the 63 and 83

As I explained above, games prefer clock speed over more cores.

Games won't use 8 cores, they barely use 4, and most barely use 2.

So the higher boost speed of the FX-6XXX series means it performs better in games.

You have to look at the use of the processor to say which is better.

Now if you are doing something that will use all 8 cores, then the FX-8XXX series is better.

LOL OP asked which one was better not cheaper.

Cost is a factor in determining the better processor.

If cost wasn't a factor we all considered then we all would have told him to move to Intel and buy an i7-3970X.

But we didn't.

And if you actually read you'll see in his first post he didn't ask which is better, he didn't really ask anything other than for help deciding and in his second post he asked which is best in gaming performance and multitasking.

Since a P4 can multitask just fine, really it comes down to gaming performance, which is what we are discussing.

So if you just want to keep starting arguments, go someplace else.

I think that I can go with the 8350 but my main problem nw that idk exactly the psu watt I need, do I go with xfx 550 pro series or something higher and for the mobo im thinking about sapphire pure black 990fx ,ga-990fxa-ud3(rev1.0),ga-970a-ud3(rev1.0), so what should I use for psu and mobo !?

As for a PSU this should do fine unless you're doing SLI
You can't go wrong with the Sabretooth R2.0 it' really is rock solid. The power section is top notch. I had it up over 1.6 V_Core on sunday and it's still purring along.

I thought I would include this link. I have it posted in the FX club.

My sample is a real leaker. It takes a ton of voltage to get it P95 stable. I'm up to nearly 4.9 but it's sucking up 1.58v.
The 1.6 I mentioned was running 5.4 for a bench.
For everyday I run 4.64 @ 1.47v

No, I would not generalize the fact that games like clock speed over cores, because that is simply not true. Yes there are some games that are far more CPU bound, and single threaded, so higher speed CPU is better for them (such as Skyrim), but other games it is different.

I would because you're not making the argument more cores are good for gaming. That has limited improvement but more often than not higher clock speeds on the same architecture are going to yield better performance on just about every CPU bound bottleneck where as more cores very well might not.

Can't speak for the Saphire board but the Sabretooth R2.0 is a great board. Believe me I've pounded this one hard and it just keeps taking it.

And if you're arguing about which can reach the higher clock speeds. It's the 8350 hands down.
