Looking to buy a motherboard/cpu/hs/fan combo for an AMD system. Must fit in a Micro ATX Case. preferably a socket 462 (A). Thanks

I have an old Athlon XP 2800+ Barton @ 2.08GHz.. Has 2x 512MB DDR-333, running it on a PC Chips board (rather eh but it works) I think the memory may be bad though, no way to really test it. I haven't used the system in a while, so it's just taking up space. Also, stock HSF with fairly new AS5 applies. I'd sell the board, cpu, ram, and hsf all assembled and shipped for a reasonable price, just make an offer. P.S. the PC Chips board has only been used for about 1 year. It's a socket A(462/754) board? At least thats what the box said. the CPU only shows as running at like 1.25GHz on system Post screen, but it seams rather zippy.....

Interested in a msi km4m-l with a sempron (2800 i think????)cant totaly remember for sure.
If i recall right i think it ran at 1.53.Has heatsink but no ram(ram went to Mkmods)
It is a socket A board & Proc.
And its FREEE!!!!!!

Are you only particular about a Socket A system? I have a good Socket 754 mATX board and Sempron 2800 CPU. Games are far better than Socket A and the system will feel must faster. CPU is retail. So it comes with HS+fan.

The only real thing I could think of is upgrade her to 2GB of ram and a new video card, but for the price you'd pay for both or either, would be a brand new am2 dual core brisbane, mobo with 7series gfx, and maybe even ram. lol

I gave my ex my old system... Asus a8n-sli premium, athlon 64 x2 3800+, 2gb of corsair ddr-400, and dual 7800gt's. she does gfx design as well and she finds it much faster than her old p4 rig. while it's almost impossible to find a 939 setup now, the prices on AM2 are dirt cheap and so are graphics cards.. you could probably get away with building her a new system for like $800, a preatty nice one at that.
