Hello all,

Recently got my 5950 system up and running on an Asus b550 gaming E platform with a 3080 gpu. For simplicity sake in my life I got rid of my NAS and moved the harddrives into this and it will act as my server when not running normal programs. I've got the AI suite 3 running and see it has power modes on it but doesn't look like it does much from a CPU downclock/voltage standpoint when idle. Is there something that will adjust clocks and voltages to meet demand on an automatic basis like what asus had with their software a long while back? Don't want this thing sitting here drawing 150+ watts when not doing anything if I can avoid it. Thanks!

Install the B550 Chipset drivers:
B550 Drivers & Support | AMD

Then choose the AMD Ryzen Balanced Power Plan and set the Processor States up like this:

Thank you. This is what I was looking for I just could not figure out for the life of me where it was at. Much appreciated! Will this make it function similar to how the GPU downclocks/volts when idle?

You are welcome and Yes, it will downclock at idles and boost when needed.
My 3700x downclocks to 2.2 GHz when Idle and boosts up to 4.4 GHz as needed.

It allows the CPU to downclock.
Mine downclocks to 2.2 GHz when set to 20%.
But even at 99% it will downclock to my stock 3.6 GHz.

But, I just realized that you have a Ryzen 5000 CPU and AMD said that the Power Plans don't affect them like they do a 2000 or 3000 CPU.
Try looking in Ryzen Master and see what clocks you are getting at idle.

It shows the clocks down to 1600 or so. Thanks, it's helpful to know for sure that I'm not barrelling full speed ahead when simply popping on for an email or hosting a plex viewing (if my ISP will ever get their crap together and give me speeds better than 5 down and a whole 0.2 up...... Screw BuckeyeBroadband)
