AMD price cuts

    Following their regular price adjustment schedule AMD lowered the prices for their Athlon 64 and Sempron Processors. The Athlon 64 FX-55 processor did not drop in price.

    AMD Athlon 64:
    • 4000+ $729 -> $643 (-12%)
    • 3800+ $643 -> $424 (-34%)
    • 3700+ $470 -> $329 (-30%)
    • 3500+ $288 -> $272 (-6%)
    • 3400+ $238 -> $223 (-6%)
    • 3200+ $208 -> $194 (-7%)

    AMD Sempron:
    • 3100+ $126 -> $114 (-10%)
    • 3000+ $123 -> $103 (-16%)
    • 2800+ $109 -> $90 (-17%)
    • 2600+ $85 -> $80 (-6%)

    The Opterons are fallen in price as well. The 244 is now at the former level of the 242, the 246 costs as much as the 244 used to, and so on...

    good good.. i'm planning on building an amd64 big mighty power box soon for everything that a laptop and a mac can't to (read: games).
