The next version of AMD's Radeon Graphics Drivers, Crimson ReLive Edition 17.7.2, has been released today and includes a ton of updates. An exciting new feature is Enhanced Sync, which promises low-latency gaming devoid of tearing issues and with fixed refresh rate monitors. Also included are bug fixes and many improvements to the GUI, to improve ease of use.

Am I missing something here, hasn't this driver been out for almost a month now?

And relive record still sucks.. the best relive recording was with the very first crimson driver.

Released today, half an hour ago. You're confusing it with 17.6.2 ?

Will definitely have to check whether this does anything for my GPU, I never updated to the Relive drivers, left it at 16.11.5.
 
Us FuryX owners got scooped hard. Just 2yrs after launch and RTG has completely abandoned the entire Fiji line up. Well played Raja, well played.

Also lol on the LiquidVR. FFS SteamVR Async Reprojection is still not implemented for Fiji owners, guess they never will.

Their ppt slides are pretty i can give you that.

ReLive is missing from my control panel. Tried all kinds of installs and did many reboots.

Another failed attempt:

I uninstalled the whole thing using Your Uninstaller!, rebooted, started the installer as admin. After the install I was NOT given the option to install Relive. After another reboot it was not there. Can anyone tell me what's going on? Why is there no separate installer for relive? If there is one please tell me. Here are before and after pics:

Google DDU uninstaller and use it. Run it in safe mode and let it do its thing. After it re-boots goto the C drive and delete the AMD folder. Then run the new driver, that should work for ya ;)

OK let's give that a try.

UPDATE:

Did that in safe mode. Even ran ccleaner and jv16 after that. Reinstalled. No relive! :(

Ok run ddu again then after reboot. goto control panel and under device manager select the gpu and uninstall it.. reboot then install the driver. You can also select show hidden devices in the device manager and see if another instance of the card shows up, if so delete it as well. Good luck.

After running DDU, do you still see crimson in the registry?

I'm a Fury X owner too. I just installed this driver because I was excited about the new feature only to find out that Enhanced Sync isn't enabled for one of AMD's most fastest cards, you know, the ones who will actually benefit from a triple buffering feature in games.

So much for buying AMD's flagship...

Did it all again. Deleted EVERYTHING. No joy :( AMD hates me. I even tweeted to them about it. May be they will reply in a day or 2. Otherwise going back to the older driver. Why the hell is relive not available as a separate installer? I never had a driver problem with nvidia.

woot, enhanced sync works fine on my RX 480 :D this is a feature i've been waiting for,for a long time :P

which type of install are you choosing try custom and pick everything
 
I will install today after work. I hope it fixes something that bothers me. As I built a new RIG, with a Freesync monitor and RX 560, when I turn on the Freesync in the OSD of the monitor things like talking on Skype, videos, watching live streaming starts to stutter. Very annoying as if it skips frames or something. At first I thought it was something else, but when I turn the Freesync off in the monitor settings, everything goes back to normal.
 
installed it, no enhanced sync because it's exclusive to RX400 - RXVega. So I feel like I got screwed in purchasing a 390. Have relive working but don't care lol.....I really just wanted enhanced sync....

edit: ADDITIONAL SETTINGS IS GONE!........Chill is pretty cool though (pun intended)

additional settings is gone cause it's now integrated on the radeon settings interface
 
I'd love to see a day when amd driver thread doesn't have to include DDU troubleshooter on the first page

also @VSG ... there's an issue with slide 50 on the "AMD Complete Presentation Deck" page
 
Any game performance improvements with this driver?
