The AMD HD6990 is a dual 2nd-generation DirectX 11 GPU armed with 4GB of GDDR5. The AMD HD6990 is also equipped with 3,072 Stream processors, 64 ROPs and a variable clock speed from 830MHz to 880MHz with the flick of a switch. With two monstrous Cayman XT GPUs, the AMD HD 6990 requires an equally strong cooling solution so it is equipped with a pair of vapor chamber heatsinks with phase-change thermal compounds and a centrally mounted blower-style fan that drives the heat out the back and front of the AMD HD6990. Equipped with four mini-display ports and a single dual-link DVI port at the rear, the AMD HD6990 4GB Dual-GPU video card is capable of driving up to 5 displays simultaneously whether it is for productivity or gaming. Using AMD's Catalyst 11.4 preview drivers, 5x1 portrait mode Eyefinity gaming is possible on the HD 6990, rendering more pixels on the screen and at ultra high resolutions than what were previously thought of as impossible."

Guy needs to switch on bezel compensation, and overclock his cpu.

Also 5x1 portrait looks awful. lol

Nice technology, but 5x1 is really not a good idea for gaming, at least if you are going to be sitting as close as that guy is. The reason people try not to sit rows towards the front in a movie theater is that it is very fatiguing to try to watch a display that takes up so much of your field of view. Same thing applies here.

5x1 set up would be ok for a big room like 12 foot away from the screen,s
As for a desktop set up would be some overkill on your eyes like lol

bezels! nothing but bezels! It's annoying enough with 2 monitors, it's horrible with 5.

It wouldn't be so bad with square monitors as the middle screen would be like looking at a regular square screen.

How ever as you can see the aspect monitor of the screen means you only see the car pretty much

Stupid IMO.

Still anything beyond 3x1 seems silly to me when your sat at a desk (unless it was completely seamless no bezels)

I mean you'd wouldn't even be able to see the screens at the end unless you turned your head

But then you'd give up the warranty, don't you?

Pfft only if you they have warranty void stickers over the screws

All of us void the warranty on our cpus when we use after market heatsinks or over-clock them as well.

Same with GPUs normally (xfx US supposedly don't mind)

And yet we still RMA if they go wrong, we know the fault wasn't due to us so why not : ]
