AMD has released today the Radeon Software Adrenalin 18.11.1 beta drivers. These drivers bring a host of fixes and performance improvements to a number of titles including, Hitman 2, Battlefield V and Fallout 76. In the case of Hitman 2 the Radeon RX 580 sees a performance uplift of 3% at 1920x1080 compared to the Adrenalin 18.10.2 drivers. Meanwhile, Battlefield V sees performance improvements of 9% and 8% respectively on the Radeon RX 580 and RX Vega 64. It is likely other GPUs based on the Vega and Polaris architectures will benefit from these drivers as well. Fallout 76 gets official support with this release, however, no other information was made available as to what AMD has done for testing with Bethesda's latest offering other than to confirm that it works.

I couldn't get 18.10.2 working stable on rx vega. I was not sure if this was windows 1809 update. Then I did a fresh install and still wouldn't work. Card would go full speed with black screen and display loss. Then I installed 18.9.3 worked flawlessly. Then I saw the known issue, the vega might experience elevated idle HBM clocks. Really AMD? I think That was the issue for me. My card was tripping out with the HBM clock issue I think. These drivers still have that issue. Well I am sort of glad that they stated that or I would still be blaming everything else. Since I like trying new things and taking risks I installed these so far 10 mins and no restarts. 18.10.2 would black screen and fan full spin at full speed few minutes after boot. So far its doing better lol.

Just installed these and am getting some crazy jet engine fan speeds on startup on my Asus DirectCU II 290x. Never did that before, considering that temps are always below 75c on heavy load, with fan speed barely budging. I'm gonna test these out for a bit, though if this is what it will do every reboot, I may have to downgrade back to 18.10.1 that I had before.

Update after an hour and some minutes: Had a hard freeze with these new drivers. Was browsing some websites on Firefox when the entire system froze. I did not lose signal to monitor, but nothing responded. I was forced to power down system, and bring it back up. Already reported the issue to AMD, and am now back on 18.10.1.

The previous Beta drivers I had crashes with my XFX R9 290..Reverted back to the 18.9.3...interesting that the beta drivers are hit and miss these days for the R9 series cards...
I may just shy away from these since my system is stable currently...

Not just with those. Previous beta gave me issue with both vega and my rx 570 in another rig. so far these haven't given an issue, but i know for a fact 18.9.3 are really the most stable. I had similar issue with 18.10.2 that i listed above with Vega. But these ones haven't given me any issues so far. On 18.10.2 I did have exact same issue on my other computer where chrome would hard lock on an rx 570. I was scratching my head to what was going on as it was very random. But 18.9.3 resolved that issue as well.

If I have any issues with these betas, I know which driver to go back to atleast lol. 18.10.2 I really couldn't even use. My display would lose signal and my Rx vega would just spin at 100% fan speed. I was afraid these might do the same but hasn't happened so far lol. 18.10.2 were certainly the worst beta drivers for me. May be there is a reason they released another beta quickly.

They do mention instability fixed for these with the Windows 10 October update...I will give these a try and see if I have any crashes since 18.9.3 is fully stable for me as well.

These new beta drivers seem stable so far...however, I am getting higher frame response time and studdering in CS:GO...I will try a few more games and see if it is the same.
EDIT: it reset my monitor back to 60hz is why the game looked stuttery...I have it back to 72hz and all is well so far with these beta drivers.
