Amazon Germany accidentally listed the upcoming AMD Ryzen 5 2600X six-core processor. According to the listing availability of the chip is scheduled for 19th April. The chip is priced at 248.93€ including taxes, which is in line with the launch SEP prices we saw in the leaked AMD press-deck posted earlier this month. The listing also mentions a handful specifications, such as the chip being based on 12 nm silicon fabrication process, and featuring clock speeds of 3.60 GHz, with 4.25 GHz turbo. Unlike with some of the higher end first-generation Ryzen retail packages, AMD will be including cooling solutions with all models of the 2nd generation Ryzen series. The Ryzen 5 2600X will include a Wraith Spire cooler, characterized by its RGB LED ring, and having a design focus on low-noise operation.

Higher turbo clocks, would like to find out about memory compatibility and other latency.

i hope ryzen 2 clocks higher, im an intel user but competition is good, however, from the first gen ryzen products we learned quickly that the max xfr boost was damn close to the max all core overclocks lets just hope amd was being conservative with the boost clocks because supposedly cannonlake with 8c16t is launching 2h 2018, core for core ryzen wont stand a chance

There is no Cannon Lake for desktops on any roadmap till date, there's Whiskey Lake(14nm+++) & Icelake(10nm+) but no CNL.

I think if price in us would be 250$ then we have good buy and for 2700X 349$ would be even better.

These are launch prices, honestly I don't expect 2700x or 2600x to debut under $350/250 unless there's a future 2800x or 2650x incoming. You'll see lots of these on sale from time to time, selling them any cheaper now will make it doubly hard to price the 2700 & 2600 appropriately.

Also Turbo behaves different this time around. Before, as soon as more than 1 core was loaded, it just dropped clocks down on all cores. Now, it's ramping it down depending on how many cores are loaded. Should get a lot better performance with variable multicore loads than before.

That is not correct: Ryzen can turbo 2 cores.

Correct me if i'm wrong but that will only work with the new X470 / B450 boards, no?

While one can place the 2X00 processors on the "old" X370 boards, one will not take full advantage of the chip, unless pairing it with the new X470 board as well.

No, Boost is working on 300 chipsets.

They should, Max turbo (xfr2 ?) is 4.25GHz.

No, std boost is 4.25 so XFR is higher if it's same naming and such as ryzen 1800X which is 4ghz boost and 4.1 xfr

https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Ryzen-18...=1521196293&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=1800x&psc=1

Where and when will Precision Boost Overdrive be used then? It's marked on the graph, but no mentions of it.

I'd assume 95W is std 4.25 boost and precision boost overdrive is for 105W which is selectable on 400 chipset boards where the VRM is guaranteed to deliver it.
I would not be surprised if 300 series chipset will support it too.
Let's wait and see how it really is.

Yes, but precision boost override only works on 400 series motherboards: your own pic says so.

This is why i said one will only take full advantage of the 2000 series CPUs with 400 series motherboards. As to how much is the difference between the motherboards series for the same 2000 series CPU, i have no idea :(

What freaking year is this?
Check actual performance, not announced clocks.
My initial post was, quote:

"This is just 6% higher clocks. "

Yet you still bother me with comments I cannot understand. How do I check the actual performance of something that has not been launched and reviewed yet ?

Reported for irrelevant rambling.
