AMD's Ryzen 7 7800X3D is everything that gamers want: eight fast cores, in a single CCD, with 3D VCache stacked on top at a price point of $450. In our review we can confirm that 7800X3D is indeed the fastest gaming CPU available, beating Intel's 13900K and even the 7950X3D.

With PBO will it hit 5050MHz all the time or?

The absolute maximum is 5050, it will typically run close to 5.0 in games, when fully loaded you will see 4.8

Behold the giant killer! For anyone not in need of more than 8 cores, this CPU will last for ages. And what an efficiency monster while being the fastest gaming CPU.

Those are some impressive numbers

Intel right now :D

I wonder how many reviewers will miss the "Core Parking Fail" situation with their testsystems and present lower scores.

+Respect to @W1zzard for finding and resolving this.:lovetpu:

I guess is time to upgrade my system and this cpu is a strong contender. It will be difficulty to buy it tomorrow, scalpers will clean it up.

Those new A620 boards have some serious restrictions and will (probably) still be too costly but even with a 65W TDP limit, they will hardly hold back this CPU except in MT benchmarking. And it seems that motherboard makers are allowed to go above 65W, at least Asrock did.

Nice, will get one when available.

Wow! Nice efficiency beast.
Now I'm gonna do something else and stop considering spending that money for gaming...summer's coming.

Wow. This confirms to me that when AMD launches these with RDNA GPU cores that AMD APUs will finally be able to play 1080P high refresh rate Gaming.

Super impressive!

Thanks @W1zzard for the excellent review as always.

I bet these are going to be sold out for Months. Remember the 3300X?

I will pick one up in the summer most likely lol. Hopefully by then the high ish end boards will be less stupidly priced.

Got the 7700x just over a week ago for 4K gaming. No regrets.
7700X is still an awesome gaming cpu don't let PC elites tell you otherwise.

Do you mean the whining about high AM5 motherboards pricing will stop?

The B650 boards are not bad. Those A620 boards will be fine for this though.
