Rumors are the 4000 series pricing might be a bit saltier than we have been accustomed, so if this is the case these XT's will remain a decent alternative for the smaller wallets

Either way, I will wait for the 4000 series. I only hope it will be worth the wait (honestly i do believe it will be worth it) even if the price is slightly higher.
There's always good to have an alternative. AMD has thought about everything I guess.

+100mhz just as expected. It's not zen2+ and not 7nm+ so there can't be any but minor changes

Might be optimistic. Plus, seen referenced around that it's expected that Zen3 models won't be launched all at the same, so some of these refreshed XT models might have a more extended market coverage than others. Still a lot of guessing out there at this point.

What's really interesting about these benchmarks is not the performance metrics themselves but rather the information listed by CPU-monkey which lists down the all-core boost clock speeds for these Matisse Refresh processors. According to the information, the Ryzen 9 3900XT has an all-core boost clock of up to 4.6 GHz across its 12 cores, the Ryzen 7 3800XT has an all-core boost clock of up to 4.5 GHz across its 8 cores and the Ryzen 5 3600XT has an all-core boost clock of 4.5 GHz too across its 6 cores.

that's what it sounds."max turbo" - highest clock recorded.this is not sustained all core turbo by any means.

Something does not add up here. Either these are early revisions that do not have the final 4,8Ghz boost or the 4,8Ghz reported max is false. I guess we will see in a few weeks when these are announced.

We know many things only because of rumors. There were NEVER any official proof or announcements. Remember Nvidia's GPP?
The fact that it's a rumor does not mean 100% of rumors are always false. The same way they are not always 100% right.
