Just wondering if any of you could suggest any new motherboards for this processor without onboard video.
64 GB Min. RAM Preferably 128 GB Ram. Was hoping something new came out within the past year that wouldn't need a bios update and upgraded hardware.

This board would work well with that cpu, as far as power delivery and ram goes. Solid option for that price.

I have the ASUS ROG Strix B550-E -- a close relative of the B550-F model. It's currently hosting a Ryzen 5800X but has also hosted a 5900X at one time. WiFi and Bluetooth work fine. Both models will be fine for your 5950X.

The Zen 3 processors have been out for a while, any motherboard rolling off the manufacturing line will have a compatible BIOS.

You will likely need to focus your search on high-end motherboards. Normal consumer boards will all have onboard video ports because the target audience will consider APUs as viable options.

My guess is that all of the B550 motherboards will have onboard video ports. You really need to focus on the top tier X570 boards.

Best of luck.

What's the problem with onboard video ports? They won't do a thing unless you have a G cpu.

What is the purpose of the build?
Also, since the "onboard" graphics is located in the CPU chip (if present) means the mainboard needs a port
That is why you see almost all the mainboards with useless DP and HDMI ports. (Except for a few) So you have to deal with this.

Building for a AMD Ryzen 9 5950X. No onboard video. No Video Ports needed on board. Wasted space. Not needed.
Purpose of build - Build and keep it for 10 years.
This is a good board, yes?
Also want a board to hold 3 GPU's. This would fit the profile - Yes?

That one more or less fits the bill, but if you opting for such a long time would recommend find one with a 10Gbps LAN
So I might show this:
It has Tunderbolt 4 which is 2 times faster than the USB3.2×2 port the MSI got,
It also have a 4 times faster ethernet port which might be handy down the line.
But you have to tolerate the unwanted DP and HDMI ports, I would say it's a great trade off.

Also, consider exclusive the limitations of third PCIe ports, regardles what AM4 board you choose!
Do you already own the AMD R9 5950X?

I would suggest one of the x570 refresh motherboards without chipset fans. EVGA Dark is good, the updated ROG HERO etc

If you haven't bought the 5950x yet, I would strongly recommend the i9-12900k instead, it's very close in MT performance but significantly faster in ST performance, has none of the USB issues of Ryzen, supports DDR5/PCIE 5.0 etc. Much better future proof board level features.

The 12900k is around 15-20% faster per core, but around 10% slower in ideal MT (all 32 threads used of the 5950x)

Z690 boards will also support raptor lake which will double the E cores from 8 to 16, so there's a potential drop in upgrade.

From someone with a 5950x tuned to the limit - the 12900k is better.

ST performance is always relevant, MT performance is sometimes relevant.

Thanks For the link
So the limitations on running three GPU's on AMD A4 chipset is that they can only run in 8x speed?
And if you want the newest x16 speed GPU, you can only utilize ONE GPU? Did I read this correctly?

This is also the same with the Z690 and other Intel chips, also:
Do not worry about that 8×PCIe(v4) is still provide more bandwidth than the current graphics cards are need.
I talking about the third slot, which might get disabled if you use the m.2 which are on the same switch.

This is why I mentioned the AMD Threadripper, if you need extreme connectivity.
The TRX40 have 72 lanes, over the regular 24. Now you understand why are those so "expensive"

Thank You for the help. I'm not too familiar with the modern architecture and terminology.
So based on the article you pointed me to and the diagram you just posted a link to, I am trying to understand that even the newest GPU card can still run at maximum potential using only the 4x speeds if I want to use 3 of them? How can I know if the 3rd slot will get disabled when using 2? I don't think I'm going to use Intel. Every Computer I built has been AMD, and their architecture has improved.
So far I am liking this board:

As I said I would like to 3 GPU's - all three of the newest design.
And I still want to be able to use M2_4 Storage.
Is that Possible with this board?

Expansion Slots
PCI Express 4.0 x16 3 x PCI Express 4.0 x16*

* Actual support may vary by CPU.
* PCI_E4 supports x8.
* PCI_E4, M2_3, M2_4 and SATA5~8 share the same bandwidth.
PCI Express x1 1 x PCI Express x1*

* Actual support may vary by CPU.
* The PCIe x1 slot and onboard Wi-Fi module share the same bandwidth, you can not use both of them simultaneously, and the default setting is the Wi-Fi module for the system. Please disable the Onboard Wi-Fi Module Control in BIOS if you want to use the PCIe x1 slot.

Storage Devices
SATA 6Gb/s 8 x SATA 6Gb/s
M.2 4 x M.2 slots (Key M):
Supports PCIe 4.0 / PCIe 3.0
PCIe 4.0 is available only on AMD Ryzen 5000 Series and 3000 Series desktop processors
Support SATA 6Gbps (For M2_1, M2_3 & M2_4)

M2_1 (From processor):
Supports 2280/22110 storage devices

M2_2 (From X570 chipset):
Supports 2260/2280 storage devices

M2_3 * (From X570 chipset):
Supports 2280/22110 storage devices

M2_4 * (From X570 chipset):
Supports 2260/2280 storage devices

* PCI_E4, M2_3, M2_4 and SATA5~8 share the same bandwidth.
SATA RAID 0/1/10

@StOmPeR
I've checked the manual, it maybe available for the 3rd GPU with a PCIe 4× connection, but then you cannot use SATA5/ 6/ 7/ 8, no biggie there but you also need to forget M2_3

I can't tell if 4×PCIe v4 is enough for a modern GPU, my bet is NO, but you can open an other thread for that.
So if you really want 2+ GPUs to run, look into the TRX40 systems with the Threadrippers

Here is the MSI MEG X570S ACE MAX PCIe diagram:

A M2_4 Storage device is the newest upgraded version of SSD's correct?
If So.. then I could use a M2_4 with no problem as long as I only had one GPU?

All of the m.2 are Gen4 PCIe 4× on the MSI MEG X570S ACE MAX, you can use the M2_1 and M2_2 with no restrictions regarding how many GPUs you use.
If you using the first two PCIe16× slots you shall be able use all 4 m.2 ports with full speed.
