Will a na-u12a be able to handel it?

And if so, how do you think the noise output will look like across time comper to a 12900k with the same coller and work load?

Was thinking I would replace my 5900X with this until I saw the long boot times. I hope they fix that...

That's up to the person setting the fan curve but should be similar by all accounts, hopefully some user's on here will get some Am5 experience in and let the rest of us know.

By design the boot takes so long because the platform truly optimises memory timings, sort of automatically clocking them up, as opposed to just finding stable settings like Am4 does.

I think they can improve it perhaps but not get rid of it.

Boot times like loading Windows? Isn't this a performance/benchmark metric and if it is slower, then your move will effectively be a downgrade?

Apple is looking at the power draw of both Zen 4 and Raptor Lake with contempt I'd say. Such a shame they had to go the brain-dead poruteof massiver clock increases to match Intel. I hope Zen 5's rumoured huge architectural changes and no clock increases mean power can come back under control, but Apple will be out with M3 by then too.

Hard to swallow the huge costs of this gen especially with the fwit MB makers proice gouging. Good luck with that morons during a global recession

Wow, another user licking Apple boots...

The report that cites AMD's internal management suggests that the red team is planning to lower its production of the Ryzen 7000 "Zen 4" CPUs amidst a decline in the PC market and the overall poor reception of the AM5 platform.
