AMD introduced the latest edition of the "Raise the Game" bundle, which goes live in February. The mid-range Radeon RX 5500 XT is bolstered with a windfall of games and services. New purchases of RX 5500 XT graphics cards from participating retailers receive "Resident Evil 3," "Ghost Recon Breakpoint," and "Warcraft 3: Reforged," in addition to 3 months of Xbox Game Pass for PC. Buyers of performance-segment RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT cards purchasing from participating retailers, from February 4 till April 25 (with game redemptions ending on May 25), receive "Resident Evil 3" and "Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition." Buyers of the RX 560, RX 570, RX 580, RX 590, RX Vega series, Radeon VII, RX 5500 XT, and RX 5700 series receive Xbox Game Pass for PC. Curiously, RX 5600 XT is excluded from the game bundle.

5500XT gets the most popular game.
Weird.

Maybe AMD is trying to sweeten the deal because they know the 5500XT is priced a little too high to be directly competitive? For first time builders, having a couple of AAA titles in hand once they get their build up and running could be a valuable thing.

"btarunr" I am wondering if the performance bundle includes the games for the 5500XT plus Monster Hunter World?

One thing I'm not fond of with AMD at the moment is the rather nasty software tool that verifies the correct hardware in the machine. Considering the run conditions, I really wonder if AMD isn't putting machine identifying serial numbers into the hardware.

It just says it verifies qualifying hardware but why does it need such low level access. It's kind of curious, and I can't find much. I mean you already need codes you can only get with hardware purchase.

Here's hoping that AMD can generate an additional 30-40% performance increase across the board with RDNA2 on 7nm+. and that the ray-tracing implementation will consist of a clever cross-platform software solution that relies partially on reworked TMUs, something that is cost-effective enough to find both PS5/X1X and PC implementation and broaden the consumer access to the tech. Akin to the crytek demo. The 5500XT failed to attain the lofty heights of its polaris predecessors, legendary at that budget range, but Navi2 can retake the mantle established by polaris and build upon the lukewarm reception of the 1st iteration.

I am really hoping for a lateral solution by the budget constrained AMD that will be nothing short of a total consumer victory.

After the fight I went through with Amazon to get the codes for my R7 2700... Though I am kind of debating claiming them now. At $170 CAD with free shipping, it was an amazing deal even without the free game and Xbox Live.

I don't blame you, the freebies on the 5700 if of value to you do make a compelling argument.

It was a rushed buy, the 5700 was 60€ more, if i knew i was not getting games, I would have bought it instead, im thinking if i should just return the 5600XT for the 5700, havent touched the bios either yet...

So, they need to do something pretty serious to get rid of RX 5500XT-s?
Any model I can possibly get my hands on is 200+€ and this is way way expensive to get over the RX570 I currently have in there, even considering the games I would want.

I had hoped the RX 5500 XT was going to be the "Peoples' Champion" successor to the RX 570 which today still offers the best performance per dollar of any GPU at 1080p (which it can handle just fine).

That dream did not materialise. I have still recommended RX 570s to prospective buyers of budget 1080p cards to this day (the 8GB model). All of them have been extremely happy with their < £120 purchase. Oh well, I can hope I guess, for when the refresh comes this year, that we can see little RX 5500 XT truly step into the legendary shoes of the RX 570.

I think the 5600XT is the new 570 for 100€ more and the 5700 is the new 580 for 150ish€ more...
We are buying mid range GC's for the price of full consoles I guess...

Can't expect AMD to severely underprice their products relative to nvidia, but ironically the nvidia price hike helped them subsidize 7nm production

Similar prices here in Finland, 200EUR for the cheapest 4GB and 220EUR for the 8GB model.

I just ordered a Sapphire RX 5600 XT for my self.

Here in Hungary the cheapest RX 5500 XT 8GB models go for around 237-240EUR if you are getting them at a decent e-tail / retail chain.

The RX 5600 XT is almost 60% faster for a 27-30% price hike, was a no brainer really.
