AMD's new bundle: Battlefield 4 free with all >$200 GPUs

I don't know if or when this will be posted in the News section, but AMD released its slides showing that from now on Battlefield 4 will be bundled free with all its GPUs from the R9 270 and up.

Seeing the number of people in these forums who enjoy the game I can see it selling a lot of cards. Since Battlefield 4 is a $60 game, getting it bundled for free is a good reason for many to pay the additional money to get a graphics card to go along with it.

I feel somewhat bad for both the early 290X adopters who paid $30 extra for the game and the 290 adopters who never got the game at all.

It's not my type of game personally, so I'm disappointed that AMD did not continue its tiered approach where you could choose a few games from a list. I would have preferred the option of Batttlefield 4 OR a selection of games.

It's worth asking, but I wouldn't hold much hope. I had a similar situation when I bought my two 7970s. AMD had a promotion where you would get 8 games if you bought 2 7970s at the same time (instead of getting the same 3 games with each card). I bought my cards in two separate purchases within 1 day of each other but AMD told me flat out "no" when I asked them about redeeming their promotion. They said their rules were very explicit and in my case they had to be in the same order, no exceptions. So I wouldn't have much hope on them making an exception for anyone else.

Thanks for the heads up, I used a 5% discount code when I bought my 290X ($29 off), so I basically got BF4 for free

Waiting to see if AMD will expand their never settle with new games to see if it's worth getting a second 290X Not holding my breath though...

Thief is the new game they're adding to the "Never Settle Forever" choice of games, but the NSF bundle only applies to the R9 260X and the 7000 series; you are stuck with BF4 with everything above the 260X.
