I wasn't sure where to put this

Basically today I'm going to pick up my One x and I have lots of important messages currently stored on my current device. I'm wondering if Titanium Backup Pro can backup messages and then restore them on different devices?

I'm going to root my S2 now with:
http://www.technoxide.com/2012/11/root-galaxy-s2-4.0.4-xwlpw.html

and then could someone provide me a correct link to root my one x to then restore the messages if possible?

When I went from my Droid X to my Razr Maxx I just used SMS Backup+ to backup everything to my Gmail account, and restored from there. I use it all the time to keep a backup of all my messages in my gmail account. Plus I like that I can just go into my gmail account and look up messages too if I need to, or print them.
