Another BSOD - Assistance needed: Thread 2

Made a thread over the weekend related to several BSOD's I'd been having some of you may remember this some of you may not, so for the one's who don't let me try recap on the story so far.

my whole rig is pretty much brand new, well, within 2 month old or thereabouts, the latest addition being the PSU, then before that it was my GTX 460 and then before than it was an overall upgrade as mentioned.

The last 3 BSOD's I had was hardware related but I'm not sure what hardware it is :ohwell:

Now your probably thinking has this guy had another BSOD and if so just get to the point... well I haven't actually :D but I would like to ask a few more thing's about what could be causing the problem. I noticed from CPU-Z that Cool&Quiet wasn't on, apparently anyway's, so I goes into BIOS to turn it on, but it is already enabled, so could this be a problem with Cool&Quiet? Also I've noticed that I'm sometimes getting windows lock up's for a short time 2 - 5 second's... hard drive maybe? or just Windows problems? I will add that I've used HDtach and my drives seem to look ok speed wise in that, and last of all I've noticed my DVD drive sometimes disappears from "my computer" and I have to restart to be able to find/use it again.
Ok that should cover it for now

use hdtune and scan for errors on your hdd... do you want coolnquite on? I personally disable it on all my systems. It may or may not be causing stability issues... do you OC?

I like Cool&Quiet it's a nice touch and without fan controllers it's something I'm very dependent on at the moment, but is something I could change. I overclock alot :D but nothing too stupid usually, except whilst hitting some benchmarks :D

What does the BSOD (cant find the old thread) says? Also, try to turn C&Q of and see if it helps, maybe especially when overcloking.

As I said in the OP it say's hardware related :toast:

I'm currently hoping this thread will stay quiet for awhile (trouble wise ), I'm running everything at stock since about half hour ago, and I'm going to try not to let the urge of overclocking get to me

Kind of have a feeling these BSOD's might be human error due to being quite immature when it comes to overclocking, or at least that's the best thing to hope in this case. Either way will probably keep this thread updated daily :D

Also BIOS setting's are all at stock/basic, so C&Q is turned on at the moment. Also when overclocked to 3.4+ C&Q would grey out in the BIOS so was turned off by default when oveclocked.

EDIT: You won't be able to find the old thread it got deleted by accident, but that's another story...I broke it.. or Welcome to the TPU time machine by W1zzard.

Right I'm proud to say not a single BSOD since running at stock clocks/volts :D so they was obviously user error somewhere along the lines.

Certainly saved me a lot of hassle, considering I've never had to RMA anything at all before

Anyway's thanks for your time and patience with me guys :toast:
