Those who try to insult myself and others here are not welcome and will be dealt with by moderators here.

this is an AMD Build- not an Intel Build

This is another build im considering, id like to play with this build and see how well they run and how tweakable they are.

Input is welcome, keep it professional please

This looks like an awesome AMD build. The Llano CPUs are already better than Phenom IIs because of the memory controller and with this being unlocked and an overclock that should go a lot farther than the Phenom IIs can, this looks like a winning AMD build to me.

I will love to see how this turns out because I think this will be the best AMD gaming CPU that you can buy.

Now if only they would release a 6 core.

I suspect that Fusion is definitly the future of all AMD CPUs, So I suspect Bulldozer/Piledriver to be on FM2 next year to phase out AM3+ Eventually (even tho Piledriver will be on Am3+ aswell) Dont get me wrong seeing 5GHz is cool but that guy was messing around. I do happen to make this build possible i will see how hard it can push in clocks and keep everything cool (wont overclock the video card or system ram though)

My opinion would be to throw in an SSD instead of the VelociRaptor. Raptors are nowhere near as fast, and instead of the 750 GB drive, go for something like 1 TB at least. You'll get just as much space with 3-4 times faster system.

Sound card is pretty expensive, I'd have settled for the onboard, but your call on that one.

If you do go through with it, I will be excited to see your results. I have been interested in how this chip will perform since they first announced it.

Ya I built my bro a machine back in september using the 555 BE and unlocked it and was amazed at how snappy it was booting, shutting down and opening everything without even tweaking the OS and how well it played movies and other content.

I came to realize drives that are 1TB or greater the more you risk losing stuff with.

Firmware issues of SSDs are still a big thing for me, along with the price of the drive itself. SSDs are nice but not something I need, considering how fast my bros machine i built boots/shuts down and runs/closes programs already with HDs anyway.

Ive always ran a sound card in my machine and the Claro is one of the best out there.

The issue with 1TB and 1.5TB drives was solved long ago. And it was a simple firmware fix. So no worries there.

Same with SSD. Only the sand force controller based SSDs had issues, all of which have been sorted out. There is no upgrade like an upgrade to an SSD. A P4 with an SSD is going to be faster in day to day computing than a quad core Athlon with HDD.

Im not worried about firmware on the HDs but the firmware on SSDs. Ive Come to conclusion i really dont need a SSD at this time. N I recall the same connundrum when i upgraded the HD in a Celeron 333 machine to a newer gen 7200 RPM model. But tell you the truth a P4 is a P4 (ok for their time but slow by todays standards) Also I look at it this way the bigger the HD the more stuff that can be lost on it.
