Hello,
I recently purchased an Asus Rog Strix 3080 TI from an international seller on Amazon. I think it came in a perfectly sealed box (customs opened the box apparently...), all the contents seemed complete, I myself removed the sticker on the anti-static sleeve, peeled of the "remove before use" stickers from the back of the card and removed the slot covers etc. It looks so far so good.
Only thing I see is that it underperforms slightly in benchmarks. E.g. Superposition Unigine in 1080p score is about 11800, whereas the lowest in leaderboards start from 12500, though I'm sure this is within margin based on the rest of the rig.
The card is also flagged as Rog Strix 3080 ti in Asus products as well, and it's not marked as fake by GPU-Z.
BUT, the only thing that's bugging me right now is that the lookup fails. I believe this card is a pretty standard one, only thing that diverges from a regular GA102 is that it's an LHR card. And the fact that this is certainly not a rare or an unreleased card worries me.
Do you think this looks legit, or have I been conned by the worlds best GPU counterfeiter? I realize this probably borders on paranoia, but given the market status and the price tag on this card, plus the difficulty of an international refund, I just want to have a peace of mind and not think about this until I upgrade it in 5 years. Thanks a lot!
A few details.
