remember when antec was the go to for cases and PSU? It's a re brand of the original seasonic focus gold (not the plus) and i saw the 750w for $78 out the door the other day on newegg.

They add something extra to Seasonic PSUs before rebranding. Generally makes them stronger and better long term.

Antec is still very good, but the time of them being the top of the line and only choice in quality PSUs has gone.

Like what? It's the same fan and same internal parts. Antec hasn't made a custom Seasonic build since the true power new series.
