....for Consoles in the Games section?

As much as we love PC hardware. Some of us still like to act like big kids and play consoles. But it seems that any talk of consoles in the other forum sections turns into a PC vs console debate (WAR more like lol). Which is silly.

If this is a bad/stupid idea, please tell me to shut up

EDIT: or, what about 'Games' being changed to 'Gaming' and having 2 sub-forums (PC & Console) ?

This has been suggested in the past and the consensus was that TPU is first and foremost a tech site, and that the single gaming forum was sufficient for all aspects of gaming discussion.

Hookey has a point about the wars that happen, but im having to agree that there would be a minimal amount of traffic. however, there are sub-forums on TPU that are hardly ever used, and are only there as a way of organization. so i can definitely see the feasbility of a console sub-forum in tha gaming section. the forums might even get more traffic from "other gamers" if we have a console-specific section.

Personally, I'd rather see consoles just not be a part of the discussion as this is a PC hardware and gaming website. There are plenty of venues for console discussion elsewhere. That's just me though.

It was just a suggestion. I wasn't saying this because I'm not into the pc hardware etc anymore

I know there are plenty of other forums dedicated to console gaming. But it's nice to be able to come on TPU and talk about ANY type of hardware/software (aslong as you're in the correct section obviously).

We have a lot of members that enjoy some casual console gaming aswell as PC gaming, so I thought it might be a cool idea. But like some have said, we can talk about console gaming in the clubhouses
