there are a bunch of sites where you can make a laptop. only problem is that there all American. are there any sites that let you make a laptop in canada?

they do but you have to pay around $100 in duty fees + shipping is alot + dont know how to convert $US to $CDN

They don't sell to Canadians?

The conversion from US to Canadian $ will put the price up a fair bit...plus, you have to pay shipping from the US to Can and that wont be cheap either.

To top it all off you will have to pay import tax of about 20%...so a US$3000 laptop will up costing you about CAN$4500 . :shadedshu

It will cost you a lot more than $100 in taxes, believe me on that one. :banghead:

Laptop for gaming = waste of money.

Looking at your desktop, you could build something along the lines of what any laptop your looking at for about $1200 Canadian.

Newegg.ca and Tigerdirect.ca are both ripoffs...you can often find stuff cheaper in the high street. :shadedshu
