Any fans or RGB fans recommendation?

As I want to buy a new fans or RGB fans. I have no idea how to choose it. This side is cheaper but the performance may not better than expensive ones. Can you share your views here?

Noctua NFA12x25, looks like garbo if you're into rainbow puke but they're simply the best fans. Incredibly quiet, pushes an incredible amount of air. At 1000RPM they're inaudible and push as much air as most other fans at 1800RPM, at which point the other fans are quite loud. Personally I have a lot of RGB in my system, and yeah, the fans stand out, but I think it looks allright, actually. The beige/khaki really contrasts the black/RGB aesthetic and I think looks allright.

Now, if all you care about is RGB, then I suppose Corsair's fans are pretty good and have good RGB (if you can stomach using their malware, otherwise known as iCUE)

I used Corsair's HD140 kit in my old tower I wouldn't recommend it as the rainbow puke looked good the noise to keep a decent airflow in front of a mesh filter was too much for me when heavy loading my system including games.

If you want the rainbow effect buy some led strips and some Noctua NF-A12x25's if you want to go budget Arctic's F12 PWM PST fans can be purchased in a value pack of 5 and get good reviews for cheap case fans.

If you're dead set on RGB fans...My opinion after using both, Thermaltake makes the better fan (airflow, static pressure) with the brightest LEDs, but the software to control the RGB is absolute trash. On the other hand, the Corsair LL or QL fans are decent fans with decently bright LEDs, but has software they use is head and shoulders above Thermaltake's attempt.

Hope this helps out, but for what it is worth, buy really good Noctua fans without any LEDs in them and grab some ARGB light strips if you want some RGB.

If you are set on the RGB, it becomes a personal preference of how much control do you want over the lights...if you want to set them and forget them, go Thermaltake...if you want to play with the RGB quite a bit, go with the Corsair.

The Noctua NFA12x25 comes in every color of the rainbow...if rainbows had beige and brown as their only color...and yes the fans are excellent as I have two of them.

Somewhat shocked nobody mentioned the Lian Li UNIfans.... not exactly sure on performance, but they are going to change the fan game with how they handled power and lighting.

Not the best, but they are more than OK....Nocs are in the top 3 ... but you have better fans in your case already.... the ones that came with it. The top fans available are the Phanteks and Silent Wing 3s. Here they took the Phanteks fans off of a Noctua Cooler and replaced them with Phanteks (the ones that came with your case) ... the CPU temps dropped a whopping 6C at same rpm.

To be completely honest, it wont matter that much if they are case fans. Sure you can shave a few degrees here or there but to be completely honest something around 1200 RPM is where you should likely end up due to noise / performance and if going ARGB generic fans are fine but get ones where the LEDs are in the hub. The ARGB fans with thick lighted rings have a blade surface area that can be up to 20% smaller. This heavily impacts performance and I see it all the time in my reviews of various AIO coolers.

On the 120 mm fan front I would recommend the Bitspower Touchaqua NJORD 120 PWM option. They are good performers at lower RPM compared to many other options and for $45 you can grab a 3 pack. They use the standard 5v ARGB header meaning you can just connect them to the motherboard and use the included mobo software to handle controlling the ARGB leds.

Honestly though I prefer Be Quiet's Silent wings 3 fans both 120 and 140 and if wanting ARGB lighting I would use the Phantek's Halo Lux frames.

I don't have any specific recommendations for 140 mm fans since I don't use them that often.

the other day i was looking on newegg at fans, & i stumbled across a pack of 3 Corsair fans selling for $130 or some ridiculous cost.
i dont know if they are made with 24k gold bearings or something, but it really demonstrates the silliness of fan pricing.

noctua, corsair, phanteks, scythe, coolermaster are all decent fans, some are just priced silly high

Scythe does make good fans but the PWM aspect doesn't play well on older mobos as our reviews show, even up to Z270 the PWM functionality was not stellar.

As per usual, I hooked up the fan to my trusted Aquaero, set it to PWM mode, and started mapping fan RPM as a function of the PWM duty cycle. It was immediately apparent that something was off, however. The Scythe Kaze Flex 120 RGB PWM fan behaved quite erratically to where even going from 100% PWM to 99% PWM resulted in a massive RPM drop. This continued until ~95% PWM duty cycle, following which things settled down and changed slowly. But that is still going from an average of 1135 RPM to 485 RPM in the first 5% (for three test samples). I saw something similar with the be quiet! Silent Wings 3 PWM fans, and that ended up being an issue wherein be quiet! opted not to stick to the current Intel PWM spec to increase compatibility with motherboard fan control that—according to be quiet!—was still using an older spec with a different pull-up current. Indeed, I tried out two different motherboards for fan control and had the same issue, so it is not my Aquaero alone. For what it is worth, voltage control did seem to be working as expected, but voltage control on a PWM motor is not recommended.
