anybody got an asus 4870x2 TOP master and slave bios

as title not sure if they are available yet but if anybody has one please do a drop of the bios in gpuz as the ccc core goes up to 1000 and mem to 1200

hi there , the reason for wanting the asus 4870x2 is that the overdrive ccc limit instead of being 800 core and 1000 mem is 1000 core and 1200 mem on max clock in overdrive so if you wanted to set 840 core you could do it in overdrive rather than agct and if you have 2 4870x2s using agct only clocks the one card

it works fine for me. i have 2 VT 4870x2s and i have no problems with AGCT. i dont believe that CCC will be any different with the different bios on the card. CCC is setup in one way and the card does not change that to my knowledge. i have been running my 4870x2s in CFX well over 1000/1200 and all 4gpu's are at the same speed.

Couldnt you just mod your own bios using the latest version of RBE?

yes you can set higher values in rbe and they are effective but anything over 800 and the overdrive facility stops working

i tried using atiflash to backup my x2 bios but the a drive just kept making noise like it was working for about 5 min... it just get going until i finally just reboot? what am i doing wrong?

hi there you need to use gpu-z latest version to back up your bios atiflash can flash it ok but not back it up on the 4870x2's

wow gpu-z has proven to be quite the tool!! anyway, when I flash with atiflash bios 0 is master and 1 is slave correct? so to flash master I type atiflash -p 0 newbios.bin?

ok i figured it out, I was able to overcolck my x2 to 830 core and 975 mem with a voltage increase on the core from 1.25 to 1.30

i went from scoring 14,300 to 15,000 on vantage P preset

you should be able to get that core speed to 900 and mem to 1000 or better.

no even watercooled i started getting artifacts at 840 mhz

ssgwright yes you are right without voltage mod highest i have seen is 877 and that was with asus 4870x2 top by kinc the well known overclocker , i have run at 100% fan and managed 850 core on single card and 830 with 2 4870x2's, i have edited the bios ok , fitseries3 are you talking about a 4870 or 4870x2 as if its an 4870x2 not being funny there is no way you could have it at a 1000 gpu core and 1200 memory as that would require hard modded volt mods and extreme cooling, highest ever recorded is 960 core thats the hwbot number 1 score in 3d03 and that card was volt modded and cooled with chilled h20
