Anyone Else Joining In On The TitanFall PC Beta

After playing a bit I think the game is ok. The concept is great, love jumping into the Titans, thats extremely cool. I like the free running for the most part. But I dislike the kits and some of the abilities out there (though more unlocks might fix that last one). Overall it feels like a decent game, but is just a bit on the hectic side, which I wouldn't mind now and then, but it doesn't really fit my playstyle either. I'll probably grab it if it ever goes on sale in the future for maybe $20.

What drivers are you running on your 680?

For the time ive played the game, I do like it, but really really hate the bots. They are all really dumb, they just stand there like a damn bullet sponge. I find I kill more bots then actual players. Wish they would change it so that its 16 vs 16 real players. Not sure why they can't.

They would need much larger maps. There would just be too many titans roaming around for those small maps. Already 6 almost feels cramped if one team ends up having 3 - 4 Titans up and you are the only Titan on your team, it just feels like they are everywhere and you can't find a place to hide and recover shields from them.

It looks disappointing for me. I haven't played it, so i can't say too much. Though i remember when it was first announced the dev's talking about games like Quake and UT and how they wanted to go in that direction. The result looks nothing like those games. Not saying it won't be a good game, but an arena style game is long overdue!

That's because of the 5 times you kill an enemy, 3 of those are likely to be bots standing there ready to get kicked in the face.

For me that's not a bad thing. It creates a mix of multiplayer and singleplayer on one battleground. It can be utterly disheartening for old bastards like me when you get a team of pro's owning everything on the field. Titan Fall gives the player the feeling they can still 'engage' with an enemy without rings being run around you. I'm sure they'll ratchet up the A.I over time as they learn more of what the players want.

I'd also argue that watching me run around on a BF4 map you'd think I was a bot who'd developed alzheimers, so having the A.I kinda acting dumb looks a lot like me sometimes. I've bought the game and I'll enjoy the more 'fun' nature than the relentless oppressiveness of BF4. I'd still say BF4 is a serious game for grown ups whereas TF is very much 'entertainment' of a less cerebral nature. I'll play it when i get stressed by BF4.

I loved it! Not sure if it's going to be a first day buy, but at this point I'm seriously considering it. The bots as mentioned above doesn't really effect the overall game play. You aren't going to find yourself in 1st place because you racked up a bunch of bot kills. Killing fellow players on the opposite side is what allows you to progress through the rankings. Also, the game matches you up with people of your current level(RPG) wise so often times you aren't overly outmatched. I would have loved some more customization with the character and mechs, but I guess there is always Titanfall 2.

If anyone is going to be playing on Xbox One next tuesday send me a PM and i'll join you. I bought the Xbox One Titanfall bundle and got it for free so I wont be playing on PC for that reason.
