There's a reason you can't get it, and you shouldn't want it either. I'm not deploying it in my corporate environment.

Uhm, perhaps just download media creation tool, run it and within it click on upgrade option? I never tried that but it might work. 1809 passed through ms audit after the fiasco with previous 1809 release and should be safe to use.

just download media creation tool,

I did that and Media Creation tool gave me two options: update or save it to an USB, I did save it to an USB.

This talks about the Enterprise LTSB , i'm running the regular Enterprise.
If you are not on LTSB, then just wait until you get it eventually. I don't know which criteria they use for their queue, but I always get major updates a month or two late.
Microsoft said:
On November 13, 2018, we will begin the re-release of the Windows 10 October Update (version 1809), Windows Server 2019, and Windows Server, version 1809. We encourage you to wait until the feature update is offered to your device automatically.

I'm still on 1803, running Win10 Pro x64. I wouldn't be that impatient to get the update, cause even after re-release it was still having some issues.

Also a good idea, if something goes wrong. I've done a clean install, installed a few everyday apps, captured the image and made an iso of it, so I don't have to install and setup everything all over again if something goes wrong.

edit: Isn't LTSC around now?

msmg toolkit is ok, but is quite time consuming...if you just want appxs removed, I'd recommend DISM++
It will remove everything from live system in matter of seconds, if you don't want to type in dism commands within command prompt. Also comes with a few nice tools and possibility of a few tweaks. I also use it for cleanup, instead of builtin disk cleanup. It will also allow capture of live system into install.wim or install.esd which you can simply copy to your bootable stick. Also has a few options to increase or decrease compression of install.esd/wim so you can make the file smaller. And It has a tool to create an iso out of every folder (must not be in root).

Another solution, that wont save users installed apps, but will save all os changes like drivers installed and appxs removed, is simply typing recovery drive into start menu and running the tool. It will create a recovery stick of your windows, and it works much like any other bootable stick.

If blocked it in WSUS for now the test environment is a mess.

As for OP they blocked roll out for a third time that’s why.

I wouldn't *try* to upgrade to 1809. I'd only clean install it (via Media Creation Tool). Major updates are often begging for problems.

Ok, now I'm seriously thinking about ditching this and going back to windows 8...it seems a group of trained chimpanzees created windows 10....

I wouldn't *try* to upgrade to 1809. I'd only clean install it. Major updates are often begging for problems.
I’ve yet to get any of the seasonal updates to upgrade successfully. Always have to do it clean install. I’m still on 1709 because I refuse to clean install every 6 months.

I will await 1809 (in reality 1812) to be made right and go with it. I’m skipping 1803.
