A lot of users done it in the past due to lack of support from vendors and Nvidia.

Modding INFs is a problem ever since Windows Vista SP2 ("Microsoft's Driver Signing Policy").

On Windows 10, drivers and even tampered INFs require EV code signing certificate ($700 per year).

The workaround is to enable TESTSIGNING mode, generate a test-signed certificate and to sign all files... not something everyone knows how to do.

Starting with Windows 10, version 1607, Windows will not load any new kernel mode drivers which are not signed by the Dev Portal. To get your driver signed, follow these steps:
1. Register for the Windows Hardware Dev Center program. Note that an EV code signing certificate is required to establish a dashboard account.
2. Perform attestation signing on your new kernel driver.

It's OK to quietly install Candy Crush and other junkware to fresh Windows 10 installations WITHOUT the users' permission, but it is WRONG for the user to install uncertificated drivers.

Windows 10 ISO modding sounds more appealing to me. Microsoft slowly killed the PC enthusiast community.
