Anyone played Flight Simulator 2020 on a Windows 7 PC?

Just got a brand new RTX 3060 Ti, but I only have Windows 7 (don't like Win10 much) and an i5 4690k processor.

Will FS2020 run on such a setup? Or does it require Win10?

A very easy and quick Google search shows W10 is required. Why not just get 10 and make it look like 7?

Yep you're going to have to bite the bullet. Dual boot is an option though.

In theory I guess it could work as it's not running DX12. Looks like it's working on Linux (WINE) as well.

If all the required Spec's such as Ram / CPU of your System qualify
then you should be able to ignore the w10 requirment

"It was Probably written with win 7 in mind anyway and later ported to w 10

Also it will be moving to dx12... probably not until the Xbox version is out... but the day of doom or hope is coming

You can install Windows 10 without a license. It just has a watermark on the lower right and will bug you every so often .

No but power to you, hope you get it running on 7.. Its just that keeping that up will undoubtedly end up giving you new problems. MS is serious about killing the old Windows versions... and for good reason I might add. Look at the shithole they created, all those devices running ancient and leaky windows kernel. Its a support hell and organizations are always letting the money talk, which results in some places where even pre-XP is still present. (Yes, I have seen them, yes it was really 2020... oh, and yes, they were running mission critical stuff).

I'm just mad at 10 for the privacy stuff and 8+ for getting rid of Aero.
BTW this is just on this one PC - everything else is either already running preinstalled 10 or Linux.

Update: most definitely FS2020 will NOT run on Windows 7.
It's due to some APIs released on Windows 8 and up.
I get this error:

Won't find that on Windows 7.
