Anyone using an RTX2080 with a 6600K : bottleneck?

They say they've worked things out but confirm before buying - It's your $$ and these cards are too expensive to take a chance on, plus note the packaging difference bewteen the ones thats bad and of the ones thats supposedly revamped to fix these issues.
I say this because just yesterday, someone elsewhere had a 2080 start blackscreening on them and I don't know whether it's one of the older versions or not, they didn't say whether it was or not.
