Yea ,thats super out of date .. only thing in their in use is the Motherboard (and added another set of ram)

It's just realtek drivers with a gigabyte skin so any realtek driver you can find should work. (Even giga ones from their newer boards)

I have rev. 1.0 of the Aorus x570 Master, with a 5950x CPU.
Currently, I have firmware F35 installed.
I see firmware version F36 is now available.
It seems the difference is AGESA V2 1.2.0.7 (vs. my current V2 1.2.0.6 B).
Is there any advantage (for me) in upgrading?

Its stable on rev 1.1 but if theres no problems with your current setup - theres no need to update - found that windows 11 pro is more flexible with timings for memory and PBO so if your considering that, a new fresh windows install would problerly give more

I had to with one motherboard, hear me out, trip the safe mode of the motherboard by power cycling it and cutting power suddenly using the PSU switch about 20 times without a CMOS on it until I got a "invalid settings detected" and a "your last startup attempt was not successful anf settings were reset to defaults" message in a black screen.

Nothing else worked. Nothing. Literally nothing. Clearing CMOS, new memories, nope. Had to do absolutely horsecrap to get it back and figuring it out. Just imagine the sheer amount of pain it took me to figure this out. Jesus I'm still in pain thinking about it.

I guess if anyone ever has a memory issue like this with an ASUS motherboard running a BIOS prior to the year 2020, you can try this in any case. I wonder if it happened on a bunch of AMD boards.
New UEFI versions take it better...

1208 doesn't really perform differently than 1207 for 5800X3D.

I'm guessing the note refers to Gigabyte having re-exposed the PBO/CO settings for 5800X3D use, which Asus has also done in its 1208 BIOSes.

I'm on F36 and just checked my PBO settings. They remain right were I set them and my stability remains solid.

Im on my holydays (until january 12 2024) so took a chance with the F37g so far stable - had an issue but it was due to a mistake when I put in my memory timings in the latest version :banghead:

so after correction that its been stable and without any hickups - for some reason boot screen is in a higher resolution that before?

I might have a go at my settings during the holiday and when winter cold sets in here in Denmark i might have a OC go again

Typing tWTR_L in as 4 instead of 8 did not make my system happy - the typo made it hang on boot

Running Windows 11 Pro without any strange issues

I'm kinda baffled by SMU settings under AMD Overlocking->CBS->NBIO. No matter what I select under CPPC and CPPC Preferred Cores settings keeps reverting to Auto. If I set CPPC to Enabled, CPPC PC to Disabled save the changes, restart and return to see both reverted to Auto. Is there anything that I'm missing, can it be controlled by something or duplicated somewhere else, perhaps in Advanced CPU section?

This is on my Aorus Elite, bios F38g.

Of course it was duplicated in Advanced CPU, taking preference over the AMD section settings.

Its a strange left over from the AMD bios shareing between motherboards manufactors that new users (and even advanced users) have to be carefull about - and I think that the new DDR5 options to create custom EXPO/XMP profiles allso is a point of awareness when people have problems. If one is not carefull there could be a nother set of settings that overrule the main and perhaps dosent reset by jumping the bios reset button

Warning flashing to F37h did not go well - after flash it just hangs and did not manage to boot - so cant recommend that version and be carefull not to flash bot roms when updateing
