I like that this SSD looks unique and interesting, but it really does look like the stapler I first thought it was. Perhaps more detail would make it look like what it's supposed to be modeled after.

I hope we'll see more different NVMe SSDs in the future.

Not really, if the numbers posted are accurate, it is marginal at best...especially for an nvme/m2 drive....

We need to see some real-world performance tests to be sure though.....

So what do you recommend then? Seems a lot faster than the Samsung 500gb Evo drive I have in my machines unless I'm mixing up my numbers...could be I'm having a brain fart.

The fastest NVMe SSD so far is the Samsung 960 Pro with 3500/2100 sequential reads/writes and 440,000/360,000 r/w iops, with the 960 Evo close behind (3200/1900, 380,000/360,000).

That's my recommendation too....the numbers don't lie, and I know that to be true because I have 2 of the 960pros in my rig, and it screeeems...

Yes you can but there is no noticeable speed increase from it, at least not With the 1Tb and 480GB units. Maybe the 256GB would be a tiny bit faster...

Been there done that, just not worth the time or effort to set it up IMHO ...
