Twentieth Century Fox and Apple today announced iTunes Digital Copy for iTunes, which provides customers who purchase a DVD of a Fox movie title with an additional Digital Copy of the movie. The iTunes Digital Copy can be transferred effortlessly to iTunes and then viewed on a PC or Mac, iPod with video, iPhone or on Apple TV—just like a movie purchased and downloaded from the iTunes Store. In fact, the first DVD to debut with iTunes Digital Copy is being released in stores today. It’s the Special Edition DVD premiere of the Family Guy “Star Wars” parody, “Family Guy Presents: Blue Harvest,” and the first of many more to come.

More and more Apple is starting to bust out the Microsoft tactics to take over our homes. - One of the main reasons ppl left Windows for Mac in the first place. Only difference is - it's OK when Mac does it.

Competition is good tho for everything except things like this, HD DVD vs BLURAY add to confusion.

This doesn't cost extra, it comes with the DVD

Scrubs can be downloaded from iTunes, the difference is that this is free and avoids the need to download

You guys know what's FFING stupid about all this crap? Sony DVD's will come with their movies in a proprietary sony format/DRM to only be played on sony PSP. If you buy Fox movies, you gotta have an ipod. If you buy Sony movies, you gotta have a PSP. Oh well, I guess it's better than nothing.... I'll just use afterdawn.com

Have they actually said that it had DRM?

If not, most iPod videos will play on the PSP
