This is actually the output point of a magnetic field line of the Sun's magnetic field. It's a damn big one. This is likely the precursor to the magnetic field "resetting" itself very soon, which it does regularly.

ive seen them much bigger, it only seams large due to the mag im using im shooting at combined f11x 4.2 =f 48 about 400x mag.

I hope climatologists are paying close attention. There's a theory that sun spots are connected to cloud cover which is connected to warming the planet. Solar flares block out cosmic radiation that seeds clouds meaning the suns assault on the Earth is unobstructed.

That's actually a myth. Clouds provide no protection from radiation above UV-A. What protects us from high frequency EMR and ionizing radiation is the Earth's magnetic field primarily and the atmosphere secondarily.

I was talking about infrared radiation. Instead of hitting the dark surface of the ocean or Earth and getting absorbed as heat, the white surface of clouds sends it back to space. Albedo.

More specifically, the *charge* on the field, and not the field itself.
Mars has a magnetic field (magnetosphere), Venus has a magnetic field...
