Arctic cooler silencer for X800xt

hey all ive noticed that the arctic cooler 4 + on wards has this big metal plate at the back of the cooler????? can any1 post a pic of wat there x800xt or x800 looks like with a silencer on it :D

yer look how will it look inside a pc thats wat im asking . and since i have a blue pcb will it look like this???

Ya it will look like that, but you will see the back side. Unless you use a upside down atx case. So you will see the plate when you look in. But if you look up through the bottem of the case you will see the fan. Thats one thing I don't like about the AC's, the ugly plate on the back.

lol true it looks sorta crapy .. but as long as it does beter than my stock cooler eh? i can get 570/615 :D on my stock cooler with heat sinks on the ram and 2 x 80mm case fans blowing air on the sinks ..
u rekon i will push a bit more oc?

Ohh for sure it will help your oc. Its ugly, but it has a good purpose. Its hard to have the best of both worlds when it comes to things like this.

can any1 post with the cooler actualy in the pc???????????????????? coz i have the chipset heat sink on my mobo and dont know if the cooler will fit properly

hmm thats weird i thought the nv4 or nv5 models had the memory cooling??????????????????????? u dont have the back plate either but i tihnk the radeon version does?????? im confused coz i sorta dont want the memory cooling since i alreay have heat sinks + 2 80mm case fans blowing on the heat sinks

the memory on the 6800s are on the same side as the gpu. my silencer cools those. :cool:

u rekon its not so bad ? is ther any chance that i dont have to put the back plate on??????// coz im not woried about the memory since i have heat sinks on them and case fans cooling them down?

i hear heat sinks are beter than thermal pads

that has got to be the funniest thing i have ever heard :D

and if you already got heatsinks it should work, just hope it still bolts on

Heatsinks are held on by thermalpads on the memory... :p
