Why anyone would want that setup when you can have two non reference 770s running in SLI for only $75 more, not to mention that it takes up about 3 slots and is considerably longer as well?

I run a surround 5760x1080, the 384bit bus and 3gb of memory is more than welcome. But at 1080p im 100% with you.

As for the 3 slot, my mother board have the 2 main PCIe spaced by 3 slot ( 4 in total ) so if i SLI with another GTX780 and a Xtrem3, i still have 1 free slot in between the cards to let them breath. Th lenght of the cooler is ~1 inch more than the stock card. Nothing to worry about.

No bios mod on the GPU, this is about the max i can do, it sometimes crash at just 5-10mhz higher. Temps remain way below 60°c while benching, no throtling at all :)

The GTX 780 is a beast :)

Are you running with stock BIOS + 37 mv?

If your card is not throttling I do not recommend flashing it as you'd have 1.215 instead of 1.2v.

Basically no difference.

My cards are stable at 1228 on stock and do not gain any MHz with the engineering BIOS I am using.

But hell if they throttled on stock BIOS lol.

They have no reason to throttle since my temps on GPU/RAM/VRM are way bellow max. While benching at 1215mhz the clocks never go down a single second. ( i monitor the GPU on my G19 screen while benching ).

Not talking about temps but maximum power target.

My GPUs were always pegged at 106% power target before flashing, heavy throttling.

I flashed this engineering BIOS which has 350W (or more) and the throttling disappeared.

Throttling by power is much more rare with the 780, it does consume less power at same clocks compared to titan.

Then don't risk a BIOS flash cause that slight voltage bump won't likely give you an additional boost bin.

I said risk but the risk of bricking due to a flash is very rare.

I flashed my cards like 10 times already with no issue.

I flashed and modded alot of bios in the past and my computer is on UPS so even a power outage cant ruin the day ;)
