Ohhh right...the people who play the games which run on low spec machines.
Some people get enough entertainment from those games.

Just need to remember, people were once addicted to Tetris....

Tetris, now there's a classic. :) I liked the version that ran on my Acorn Archimedes (I'm going back to the 80s here...) which looked good and had a great music soundtrack with it.

Tetris is one of those games which can actually improve your hand/eye coordination as far as I know.

That's right, all non-Tetris players are clumsy oafs. Probably unattractive as well.

There are elitist snob gamers, sure. There are elitist snob stamp collectors, too, I'm sure. Do they get articles written about them? Lumping an entire group into a stereotype is stupid. The article writer knows this. He's just out for page hits. Professional troll.

I play the full spectrum of games. I have a 360 and I will soon have a gaming PC. I just finished Puzzle Quest, before that was The Darkness. I'm level 130-something in Mafia Wars. To shun a game just because of the genre it is in is limiting yourself. To love Halo and Gears of War just because they are popular is stupid. To hate Halo and Gears of war just because they are popular is stupid.

I will say, though, that the 'casual' games are getting more, er, casual as time goes on. Most of Zynga's games make Popcap games look like Civilization.

I'm curious what sort of spec PC you're likely to get/build?

I love the way these things go out of date so quickly, lol. I put my current PC together (see specs) about 18 months ago and it was quite high end at the time and it still runs beautifully now, including modern games. However, this spec is rather passe now, isn't it? :p Note that I upgraded the PSU much more recently to replace a failing one (yet another Antec) so is still high end.

IT goes like this.

Some hardcore gamers, no matter how hardcore they are, just strait up suck. So when they go around without solid facks, blurting out im the best in a serious conversation, yet the facts prove it wrong, and they continue with that supposedly sold IDEA that there MLG, they can go !@&#@ Them selves.

I really dont mind, when hardcore gamers, get snubby, and there actually better, because, lets face it, if there that dam good, let them brag, makes you want to be better, and youll always loose the argument, even in serious discussion.

The hardcore gamers I actually like talking to, are the ones, that dont really say anything, and they like having freinds, being nice, but at the same time, making your life hard in a dedicated server.

I am a hardcore gamer, when it comes to HALO 1 PC/CE, and my few select games ive been playing for 5 years.

No brag, but Im 1 of the best at those games, but i keep my mouth shut, and i just play the game, I talk out of game, using messengers, when someone feels like comfronting me, with "I am a botter", "hacker", "clicker", any sort of advantage.

Which i use none, but its cute to see people try to make me angry or "scare" me with proof.

But I dont mind, like the game, And no matter how i just put what i said above, i even sound snobby

*walks away with zip on lips* O:!

i7-870 and a GTX 470. All combined about $1100. Beats the Athlon 3700 and 7900GT I have now.
