are my 295s dead?

i cannot see how both are dead but let me tell you more.

both cards do the same thing.

i get super low fps and scores in benches.

even lower in SLI.

i've tried:
different drivers, different OS, different lcd, fans, OCing, everything.

have a look see...

SLI...

single card...

other single card...

tell me im not stupid.

single card before got 26k in vantage no problem at stock and at 4.4ghz should get 29k.
dual card before got 29k stock and 39k at 4.4ghz

What are there clocks when trying to run 3d apps? Maybe by chance they aren't bumping from the 2d clocks it uses?

it also looks like your CPU score is way low too for that speed.

29k for 4.4Ghz seems way low tooo, so i would say it's not a gpu think but something that is
problamatic with your system or software.


Have you tried 3Dmark06 or any other 3D mark prog's

plus how about super pi, just ot validate yoru subsystem
is running as fast as posted.\

have you tried changing your thread count, hyperthreading, going from 4 to 8?

with you changing all that out, it would be nice to try another motherboard.

great idea, with speeds like 4.4Ghz you should be in the high 40k - 50k +/
for cpu score

Have you used the drop down box in GPU-z to check the clock speeds on all of the cards?

Perhaps the drivers are not installing properly for the second cards, I had this issue before. Had to use driver sweeper to completely get rid of every trace of nVidia's Display driver and Physx driver that I could, then re-install the drivers.

I know you have said you tried different OSes, did you re-install a new OS(which should do the same as running driver sweeper, only better) or do you have a dual boot system?

swapped cpus and get the same thing.

running 06 and i get the highest fps when i run a single 295 with internal sli disabled.

Chipset maybe? Maybe it's overheating from the insane amount of bandwith those cards are using. What's the temp when the cards are on load?

TONS of airflow. its in a techstation with 4 fans on it. temps are 43c on the NB and 32c on the SB.

this is the same setup i have been using to achieve 39k in vantage. nothing has changed.

Mobo chipset controlls the sli link and pci-e chennels? Do you have a chipset block installed/cooling the chipset? if no; Maybe it got overheated and degraded.
