@ Newegg
What drugs are you people on? Because damn, get bent, get knotted and go boil your head.

As of last month on the 16th GPU mining is dead, offically. No one is doing it anymore because they can't. The algorithms were changed from "proof of work" to "proof of stake". GPU mining is permanently gone.
I know that, but he might have gotten those card way earlier and hasn't had the chance (or will for that matter) to offload them all.
I mean, we don't know that, that's why my question was valid, and was asked fully jokingly.
Apparently most didn't get that. :D

@ BestBuy this doesn't bode well... might be just a few hundred available at launch for the entire country:

That was very likely stated incorrectly. They probably meant 100,000.

I can see that joke now. It was a bit subtle.. :toast:

had heard they would only be available online and not in-store. I stopped for some chick-fil-a and will swing by the BestBuy and see if they’re willing to indicate any in store stock.

Considering that it costs more than the value of all my computers, my monitor and my iPhone Xr combined, no. I honestly cannot imagine camping out for anything that any big hardware manufacturer has released the last couple of years or will be releasing soon. It would have to be something truly unique, like a limited production RISC-V or ARM ATX motherboard or something like that, for me to be interested enough to do that.

No. My days of buying high-end GPUs are over, I just can't afford these scalper-level prices. Fuck nVIDIA, they're doing exactly what Apple did with the iPhone, I just hope AMD doesn't pull a Samsung and follow suit and truly establish 1k+ as the norm for high-end GPU prices.

I am skipping this generation. Really good is next gen RTX 5090, because it will release with GTA 6 time frame.

I know that natural gas prices here in the US are rising and winter is coming but I did not expect there to be such extreme demand for space heaters...

If they do, then say scr*w it and become a Fenghua/Imagination Tech fanboy. You would even be patriotic since Imagination Tech is UK-based after all!

like toasters with touchscreen.
That describes modern smartphones better, their pricing at high end is just as crazy, but you can get something reasonably fast, that can came and take nice photos for 200 EUR/USD. And the thing is that those cheap phones can reach 60 fps with high settings too and they exceed 300PPI, and "faster" phone can't go above fps cap any, can't really display better quality graphics, because past 300 PPI human can't see a a difference anyway and only heat up more and sucks battery faster. Therefore no advantage and only problems. And yet every review mentions fast chipsets, even if they fail to show any actual advantage even in gaming, let alone general usage. Now that market is completely and utterly stupid with equally stupid buyers, which tend to have minimal knowledge about tech.

The FE never updated for me as in stock on BB though all other cards did at least briefly.
