AMD's new Radeon Adrenalin 2020 drivers have just been released and a surprisingly large number of people is reporting issues.

Screen flickering, Chromium based browsers not working, not installing properly... that is all I know of.

But anything out of the ordinary would be considered an issue... are you having one?

No actual issues yet and installed it fine 'RX 570'.

Other than that:

I'm not a fan of how the global FPS limiter is under AMD Chill now since this seems to be working worse in my case so now I switched to RTSS FPS limiter.

Not related to this relase but the main reason why I installed this cause I was hoping that the Wattman part is better now and maybe they fixed the profile reset after restarting my PC.
My card does not work properly w/o tweaked undervolt+power % and the one in MSI Afterburner doesn't work in my case so I can only use Wattman but that resets my settings every single time I restart/shut down my pc so I have to re load the profile all the time..

It used to work fine for a few months but recently it resets no matter what I try.Completely uninstalled every other overlay software from my pc and also disabled fast boot in windows since that helped me before but not anymore.

I had to disable Enhanced Sync as when turned on it freezes games like Origins and Odyssey.

Nope, not yet. I downloaded the installer last night, but went to bed.

Going to try it after work today.

Hopefully I don't encounter those/any issues.

only issue on my rx 5700 is enhanced sync seems to not be working properly, am seeing tearing / jaggies in some games with this driver.

Currently I have absolutely no problems with AMD drivers whatsoever... because I don't have an AMD GPU. Last AMD driver I had was 19.9.2 WHQL and it was working satisfactory with my previous Sapphire R9 390 w/backplate and previous XFX R9 380. Still, I had a few freezes and crashes with AMD drivers before, so it wouldn't surprise me if they are happening with the never drivers.

I get a black screen at random parts of the install, no fix except restart.and then it appears installed in Device Manager. GTA5 gives some texture pop-in and performance fluctuates a lot.I'm thinking about removing it.Also it seems that it removed previous driver and you can't do a roll back.

Edit: The Application itself doesn't start but at least the uninstall works.
Edit 2: The uninstall app also doesn't work.

So far no issues.

Did like that they included a driver cleaner before installation. Will have to get used to the updated UI. Nifty you can save/export your settings for the UI.

Yes, the severe problem I am having with this driver is that it is not compatible with my Oculus Rift software on my R9 295x2, Windows 10 64 bit. Everytime I have both the new driver and Oculus Rift software installed, I get a BSOD everytime, saying atixxx or something is causing issues. So I just had to revert to the older drivers.

Yes, I have problems with it.
I got error when installing it after cleaning with DDU. Succeeded on second try.
I got cursor corruption when disabled Freesync for benchmarking purposes.
Random frozen black screens when gaming, Black screens when watching movies on MPC-BE when pausing video.

Using previous driver now, works fine.

Having bizarre problems with 3dMark--TimeSpy runs @ ~12 fps--usual is 60 fps +; reverting to 19.12.1's fixes it--have repeated this numerous times already--getting tired of uninstalling/installing, actually. Definitely a bug of some kind. I don't use DDU--have actually only had to use it maybe twice in the last couple of decades when an AMD driver install screwed up for some reason, and the AMD standard install/uninstall routines have always worked fine, otherwise. Just thought I'd throw that in....

Bizarre treatment of Anisotropic Filtering in the driver controls--these 2020's have no "use application settings" setting for AF, either globally or in single game profiles--of course, all adrenalins prior to the 2020s had a "use application setting" setting for AF. With the 2020's, it's only either on/off for AF--with a note about AF only working in DX9....

....which of course isn't right as AF is still very much supported in D3d12 and Vulkan. Not sure what the 2020 settings for AF are supposed to be, actually--looks like a fairly large goof somewhere.

I like the drivers, but suddenly I'm getting a bit leery. Things are happening that I don't understand--for instance, simply trying to set the global profile for the system in relation to GPU clocks, under Performance/Tuning--get everything set for clocks and voltages like I want it, hit the "Apply" button at the top right of the screen--and then 2-3 seconds later the whole thing resets to some bogus number.* I'll be doing some more testing today, but may wind up going back to the 19.12.1's until they can get these things fixed.

*THis is sporadic--not sure of the cause--atm, I won't even hazard a guess. Anyway, got the settings where I want them and saved as a profile, so we'll see.

On an older Win 7 Enterprise 64 rig (ASRock Z87 Extreme6 / i7 4790K) the latest AMD drivers not only wouldn't install they caused a major headache until I figured out what the issue was. I ended up having to run the AMD driver cleanup tool then manually delete everything leftover from AMD in the system files and registry. The system would take 5 minutes to finally boot before I cleaned the AMD things out. Before the driver install attempt it'd boot in less than 10 seconds. For the time being it's running AMD drivers from last summer but still taking about 45 seconds to boot. This isn't the first time AMD has released fux0red drivers either.

This is not just another driver but whole new UI and tons off settings that were never available. You might have to tweak it a bit but once you get it setup it's great. I can adjust the VRAM voltage and timings on my RX 580. It is really a huge step forward in bringing all the controls quickly at hand. This is overclocking software inc so please disable any other programs like AB or Trixx! Also this need the latest W10 to get the best performance.
