The Arecibo Observatory radio telescope in Puerto Rico has collapsed

The hanging structure crashed through Arecibo's radio dish after major cable failures.

I wonder how much data SETI has stored up, this could hurt them. I put in a lot of cycles a while ago before I binged heavily in gaming.

It was said the telescope was scheduled for demolition due to it's poor condition.
Although it all didn't collapse it took care of alot of the demo work on it's own.
