Also, a quick question on reinstalling the game. Going to be upgrading to Win 10 soon. Rather than redownload/reinstall it, is it possible continue using the same install with a new OS? I have two SSDs which I use for games/programs, so my plan is to simply cut it to the other drive, wipe my OS drive with a clean install and run Armored Warfare from there. I know BF4/DCS should work without reinstalling, so I plan on doing that for those two games (140GB + in downloads saved!). Again, not having to redownload/reinstall this game would save me some time getting up and running again.

a quick answer ... when i reinstalled my HTPC with win 10 clean i only moved the folder from my other rigs and re specified install path after re-installing only the launcher from My.com
on the main rig i just updated to win 10 which keeps the files as they are, but my AW and SF folder are on a dedicated 60gb SSD (so is my steam folder on a separate HDD, i never had to reinstall games unless i ran into a issue )

my only issue is i can't find back the option, i guess i would have to move the folder again to see it but iirc it was on that page:

M1134 W/O ERA since the ingame M1134 is W/ERA (but has no different ERA modifier than the M1128 albeit the ERA being thicker ) well W/O ERA is a bit wrong ... the bolt-on ceramic plating is a nERA technically if i am not mistaken

i mixup my tanks and take the 155mm mobilehome ... and the MM give me 2 AFV 1 TD 1 LT ...

Challenger 2 ATDU stands out the most. Its armor will be analyzed and steps may be taken to improve its balance situation by introducing a weakspot, vulnerable only to Tier 10 140mm and 152mm shells.

On a serious note the Obsidian guys will never learn not to buff/nerf tanks based solely on PvP stats? I'm playing PvE dammit and those bots are laser guided.

idiotic ... a chall 2 ATDU has already a weakspot ... can pen it full dmg, with T7 to 9 on driver's hatch like the chally 2 classic .... and back of turret twice APFSDS = ammorack crit...

altho classical : whinny pvp crybabies yell "OP PWZ NERFZ!" and "OHEMGEE INPENETRABLE" so = nerf incoming, but do they even try to seek different strategy than blindly shoot on it hoping it will pen?

NOT EVEN IN DREAM! the Stryker is not the LAV'O'Matic ... it's derived from the Glorious Piranha IV and V ! (albeit that the LAV-III is derived from the Piranha III) so ... yep obviously i love the M1128 and M1134 (not with the cage tho ...for the M1128 but it's a quite peculiar allure ... i have to admit )

like a true "Warrior" with the *CENSORED* in the Leo 2, who finished good last pfuaahahahah insulting the whole team and calling us, textually, "idioten" "voll noob tems" and some other joyful one ... "sorry my dear but the only noob here was yourself..." he passed nearly 5 min to try to pen frontally a 2A6 when i zipped behind his target and mowed it down to oblivion. (aye ... not everybody can pen a 2A6 or M1A2 full front ... i reckon... )

not my best PanzerMobilehome 155 but i got a "GG SPG!!!" from the M1, reason? well i did nearly the whole map to go support him, i shotguned the bot PzH2000 on pop and i smoked myself more than once to get past a BMP-3M to obliterate a M1A1 that was cornering him, too bad the screen in mission didn't work ... that was epic xD

btw for @tabascosauz STANAG, i am pretty sure they did a typo on the 12.5 versus 14.5 (and it would still not be a autocannon indeed ) but protection up to .50 BMG is indeed not STANAG 4 worthy.

Looks like the game is down for maintenance. Does premium time still get deducted when the servers are down? Wanted to play for an hour more. Even with 4 hours extra tomorrow, I probably won't be on in time to use it.

Have the T-80 now. What retrofits should I get? Do not have an upgraded gun (aside from HEAT) and the penetration is a good bit better than the T-72A in PvE. Have not tried it in PvP yet.

T-80 is good in PvE. Once you have the upgraded gun, the firepower is the equivalent of bringing a M1A1 down to tier 7, with slightly worse accuracy.

I tend to rock my Russian tanks with only advanced thermal sleeve mk 2 (or was it 3 I can't remember) as they all have pretty horrible reload times. However, as the T-80 is stellar in the mobility department, you don't actually need much else. Putting HP on it kind of defeats the purpose of playing Russian MBTs (prioritizing agility and firepower, like a light tank) since none of the tanks can stand up to an arty or M1A2 head on. The turret and hull traverse are so goddamn snappy that as I said, there's really nothing that can be improved except reload time (covered by retrofit only) and maximum accuracy / fully aimed accuracy which is quite mediocre at stock (covered only by crew skills).

I remember that the T-72A's HEAT alpha is quite good but for T-80 I much prefer APFSDS as the stats are so good at tier 7, and you don't need to think about cage/ERA and the low muzzle velocity when using APFSDS.

IIRC premium time usually gets extended during server downtime.

aye .... altho i need medium settings to run it on my GTX860M.. (which is a full GTX 750Ti ... once blablabla) probably because of the i3-4130T @2.9 and the 8gb 1600 ...

plus 10XX serie is a fraud... (specially in foun'NOlub'der edition.... )

and worry not ... Switzerland is not good either ... the custom seems to be planned around 1200chf and founder around 800chf which is far from the already obscene and illogical premium price of 699$ they ask for "foun'NOlub'der edition"

You know, I can't help but think that having 2 months away from AW greatly helped the way I play the game, as terrible as it was to endure that hiatus.

Before, all I did was complain about how 3UBR8's 155mm of penetration couldn't get through a Leopard 2's side skirts reliably, and how Warrior's applique meant next to nothing. But to be honest, that behaviour didn't do me any good. All I did was worry about getting that blue star, which, to be fair, isn't hard for me to achieve in my Ramka; I raged at people who I thought weren't pulling their weight and got into profanity-slinging arguments with trolls. Did I do well? Yes, but at the cost of actually enjoying the game.

Today, I played quite a few games in my Ramka exclusively, as opposed to doing the whole rotation like before. Why? Because I've found that I really, really enjoy the BMPT vehicles. With my upgraded engine (which, to be fair, I've had since the beginning of time), it zooms around and takes me wherever I want to go in no time. Now, even though the 30% HP buff really enhanced my enjoyment of the vehicle (and I suspect they finally fixed the random upper plate Relikt penetrations from Abrams and M8), I just play it like it's meant to be plate. I farm dmg when I should, and I get the secondaries when it comes time to do so. And come on, who doesn't like the sound of 3UBR8 shredding an unprepared M8 or M1A2 at 300 rounds per minute? I just sit back and listen to the sheer bliss, and wiggle around every time that stray M8 reloads his gun and looks in my direction.

Before, I would be on the edge of my seat, getting royally pissed off every time I dumped 40 rounds into a 2A6's road wheels only for all of them to bounce cleanly off and look up to find that the 2A6 had "Upgraded" next to its name. Nowadays, I just take it easy. It's so fun being in the Ramka. It responds to your every move with no hesitation (and for so many months I thought that the M1A1 and 2A6 had unparalleled agility. This thing feels like an extension of myself; I couldn't ask for more. Back 2 months ago, I would end up after every match with somewhere between 16-20 9M120 in reserve. Why? Because I believed that switching to ATGMs would be an unacceptable hit to my DPM and overall score, so I would reposition and spam autocannon instead, just to whore dmg.

Needless to say that my Warrior performance has suffered tremendously as "laid back" is not how you want to play with only 198mm of armor at most but I'm genuinely surprised and pleased at this new playstyle which I've adopted. BMPT is still my thing and I still expect great performance from matches that I play with it, but I don't get disappointed anymore because I don't get that blue star; in fact, it's the opposite as I know I've done everything I needed to do and yet my team performed even better, making for a helluva potent team .

And the trolls? Well, I just don't mind them anymore because I can't be bothered to pay any attention to them; the deep ping of those 120mm APFSDS rounds bouncing off my Relikt-smothered upper plate and the beautiful rat-tat-tat of those twin 2A42s is better than sex when you're playing for the sole purpose of enjoying the game. Not joking. And after two months, I can't believe how long it took me to realize that my long-since-reached-100% M1A1 is actually such a masterpiece of a well-rounded MBT and nearly as glorious as my main vehicle

That BMPT-72 can wait; I don't want this bliss to end

aye ... just like the combo 100mm HE/30mm APFSDS ... the ATGM in the Ramka and termites is for compensating dpm loss between 2 AC clips ... i thought you would have known it since i explained it to you while you were on the BMP-3/3M

a few 9M120 well placed hit is worth 2 30mm AC clip (well 1 in the case of the Ramka and Termite since dual AC setup), even in T9 and 10 i can place at last half of my ATGM's playload on good hits (even with APS or ERA/ cage) thanks to Tandem mechanics right now i've even seen some ERA hit doing at last 70% of the ATGM dmg (with the CRAB and SPHINX )... so yep ATGM's are golden (situational i reckon and more interesting in the case of the RAMKA or SPHINX, a lil less in the M1134 and CRAB )

happy to see you're going better now in AW (i am in Spain, my ping should not be too bad, will try tonight )

test: 75 to 89ms ping some rubberbanding effect ... but i can manage and solid 60fps with an acceptable "beauteousness"(TM) level, with Vsync the Alpha can manage between 59° and 75° on the GPU even with the near 30° room temp

that's custom settings with all to med or low except textures to high (the fan of the GPU are not even ramping up too much)
