i think we need a subforum for audio as well, and a video/graphics section.. they have everything to with technology and actually expand the knowledge base of this forums.. bringing in more and more experts in the fields and having our current members can contribute in these tech oriented fields.

i'd agree on that with the audio. I have to explain myself over and over with regards to home theater setups, and a clubhouse simply doesnt cut it - information gets lost in the posts, people have no where to ask new questions without dragging it off topic, and so on.

Post your [useful] graphics-artists related threads in General Software. eg: "how do I get this brush to work?", "awesome new templates", "need GIMP help", ...

I'm quoting myself from another similar thread, where someone asked for a "hardware pr0n" sub forum:

One of the prime objectives with the present organization of TPU forums is to make the forum index look as simple as possible, so new users / guests, etc don't feel marooned when they see it. Some forum sites have dozens of forums/sub-forums, and it does become a put-off

Post your clubhouses where they belong: the clubhouse forum, where you're allowed to waste several posts for off-topic discussions.

In truth its not a club the more i think about it were offering a service yeah we have ppl join but were serving the community. And before any mod says differently this is just my ho if anything were almost like a bussiness in tpu thats the way i look at it but what do i know.

I completely agree - I've even brought up this idea here in C&F as well.

considering how quickly the audio market is moving forward, and competition between the big companies is starting to get pretty ruthless - we're going to start seeing a lot more products . . . and more people looking for opinions and recomendations once they decide to get away from the atrocious onboard setups.

I have found it tedious in the past before repeating myself in every other audio thread. It's not that it bothers me to help, but when it's a couple of threads in a row where I can literally copy and paste my response from thread A into thread [/B] . . . plus, we have the X-Fi thread, which has massive hits and views, but it doesn't float high enough to catch peoples attention a lot of the time, and X-Fi related posts still end up in general hardware.

Just my opinion - the audio market is big enough to take notice of. When you have people start asking about the differences with various onboard audio solutions . . .

i'm in favor of sub forums, period. as some of you may know from my posts in the "Politics Sub Forum" thread. if you read it

"General Nonsense" is great. but sub forums would serve it well. catogories for Sports, Politics, Entertainment, Artists, w/e. so long as a forum is active and can sustain traffic / activity i am all for it

then General Nonsense can be for the nonsense its intended to be for. like a big forum that catches the poop off the rest of the board
