Artists Sub forum

This came up in the "remove thanks in general nonsense" thread.

Artists are starting to appear here in groups at TPU, and they deserve their own thread. RIght now they're getting lost in general nonsense, and its a place they dont belong.
They're a credit to the community, as they've made lots of sigs and avatars for the members here with their skills.

Should be nice and easy to implement too.

a club would get crowded. this way the sub forum could seperate itself - a sig thread/club, an avatar one, general artist stuff... why cant they do tech help for SOFTWARE (photoshop etc), in their sub forum?

What do you mean too crowded? So are you saying that more than one thread is needed? Really, the graphics artist thread could of gone into the club forum or the software forum. Personally, I would love to see a "graphics/electonic/etc. arts" forum regardless.

a single thread would get swamped, and go off topic repeatedly. ATM they have one just for sigs, but its not hard to see someone posting there for help with X application (photoshop, etc) or asking for avatars, or going indepth about related topics. It seems to me that a sub forum for it, would make sense.

Groups like that arent as narrow as say, the x-fi or wii clubhouses, in that there are experts and many, many sub topics to discuss in the 'art' side of the PC world.

well actually i think we were planning to make another thread specifically for christmas graphics.. considering the huge demand for christmas graphics last year...

i didn't really want to put it in clubs because the photoshop user club was already there so i was like maybe i'll put it in g/n. but a sticky or sub forum or something would really help us out

I'd suggest that Artists graphics request thread be moved to the Clubhouse forum, where it should have been posted originally. The thread earlier made along these lines "Custom Sig's/Avatar's made here!" was in GN, since this is a bit of a club as well, it goes to the clubhouse forum, where Photoshop users' clubhouse resides.

I would ask one of the mods over the GN to move it to the Club forum but Thermo hasn't been on in almost a month. and error f0rce hasn't been on in a while either.

TBH - as much as the GUA thread should belong in the clubhouse section, I don't think anyone anticipated it growing to what it currently is.

I'm not 100% sure we need a whole new subforum for graphics and artists just yet, as the majority of topics tend to revolve around photoshop . . . I'm not really sure ATM what would be best to do aside from possibly moving some threads around . . .

I'd still like a subforum for audio hardware and related issues . . . :ohwell:

No this is a technology and gaming website. We do not need an artists sub-forum. With the addition of more and more sub-forums it not only makes the forum lose its focus but also makes it more difficult to navigate.

yeah, unfortunantly, i think G/N is about the only place we fit, and perhaps the club forum.. but if we stay in G/N a sticky might be appreciated but yeah

Any supermod (green) or admin (red) can move anything to anywhere in the forum. If you need something moved, PM them with the link to your thread, where you'd like it to be moved, more importantly why.
