I'm having problems with my ASRock RX5700 XT Challenger D OC, i flashed the latest bios from ASRock, but I still have the same problem.
I do not have video output from the card, windows reports a code 43, GPUZ shows the card correctly, but under pixel fillrate, texture fillrate, bus width and bandwidth, it shows "unknown".
I have tried different drivers(I have DDU'd the old ones everytime).
I also have an MSI RX 5700 XT that is working great, the problems are just with this one card.

Yes, i did make a backup using ati flash, this all started with random black screens and now nothing.
I flashed the bios to a newer version, then it wouldnt boot at all with the card in, finally got back into windows and flashed my backup back into it.
then i found an updated bios on ASRocks website, downloaded and flashed it, still the same, no video and the fans dont run at all, the used to spin up on boot, now nothing.

Seems like gpu is just faulty, otherwise readings would be proper. To make sure it is not driver or OS related issue boot linux and there read info about your card as well. If such readings will be similar to what you see on windows then card is for sure faulty and there is no way to fix except sending it on RMA.

I was hoping for a quick fix, but I figured it was hardware related to start with.
ASRock tech support requested that I update the bios, so I did as they requested, this is the second time I've had to deal with their customer service and I have not been very impressed, I think in the future I will be sticking with MSI, XFX and ASUS, I've had really positive experiences with their product support.

I've repaired some older cards, but I don't see the benefit of trying to repair a card that has warranty on it, not to mention, I don"t have any way to re-ball the Navi GPU if that's what is wrong, I have done a lot of CPU re-balling back when the XBOX 360 was still around, but none since then.

Also it could be another component, trace, solder joint or the chip itself. So you know what to do.

I knew what you were saying, I was just weighing my options when this whole process started, knowing the way the interactions with ASRock's customer support has gone previously and they way it's started off this time.
I am trying to get them to work with me, if not, I may have to bite the bullet and go buy another one, but if I do, it wont be another ASRock.

Report that it doesnt work, or send it back from where you got it from.

Go to their social media pages and make a complaint

The local computer store that I purchased the ASRock from closed it's doors just before Christmas, when I bought this card, neither of the local Best Buys had any 5700 XT's in stock, so I found this one at a mom and pop shop, I never thought I would need their help, or that they would close up.

I never thought about their social media pages, that is a good idea, but I'm going to give them the benefit of doubt and see what direction this goes before I do that. I have jumped the gun in the past and regretted it after the fact, its been a long road and I'm finally learning a little restraint, goes a long way in certain situations. Now that I've said that, I will probably go home to find an email from ASRock that will cause me to blow up their FB page...lol
