Hello,

I just changed from Asrock H97 Pro4 to z390 Extreme 4. I reinstalled windows 8.1 and updated to latest BIOS and still don't have internet. I can not install Intel smart technology driver like on previous motherboard. I installed some drivers, but all of them for win 10 and OS does not allow to install some of them. LAN, ME and INF were installed.

Hello,

Thank you for help but driver did not help.
I solved the problem. Motherboard is compatible only with Win 10. I installed it and all the drivers from Asrock website and now I have internet and MB recognize VGA.
Only one problem left. Loading time of motherboard is too much. When I restart PC it takes 20sec at least then window loads in within 2-3 sec from HDD. Any advice? HDD is the main boot device.

I think your problem with loading times is connected to hdd spin-up times. hdd spin up times can be very long.
I have ssd-only pc,but two external hdds attatched to a docking station too. when I boot with the station powered off its super fast, but when the station is on the hdds need to spin up before the mobo posts and that takes time.on top of that, you load windows form hdd too, which can be slow.

Mechanical hard drives are painfully slow if it's possible you should buy an ssd and usit as your main drive for windows and your Hdd as secondary.

SSD prices have dropped significantly if you are on a budget you can get a 240gb ssd like this Crucial one only for 35usd.

Loading time of windows from HDD is only 3 sec. MOBO loading times takes too long. Does SDD make BIOS and Windows loading time faster? I thought SSD has affect only on Win loading.

Problem solved. HDD was pluged into wrong sata connector. Third one is preffered one.
