I got the game yesterday but the game performance is not up to the mark my System Specs are C2D 2.4 Ghz , 2 GB DDR2 RAM , GTS 250 1GB DDR3 and i'm running the game at 1440X900 resolution at full setting and i frequently get fps of 26-28 which is too bad later realize that the game is too CPU intensive as one of my friend tried the game with Quad and with lower end GPU and he was able to play at 1920X1080 with above 40fps.Even the patch reduces the fps of the game also did any know any FOV hack as the game screen is not full view as like in AC I.

yes, Im having framedrops as well, less than 30 on heavily populated areas 1680x1050 4x AA. I guess thats normal since a number of features has been added. And the game shows full screen on mine. No black borders or stretching.

Shit i need to get through the FOV issue and searched on Ubi forums and people with high end systems are also getting low fps.

Had a lot of fun with assasins creed 1.
What a shame.
And it's the same way for silent hunter 5.

Seems like ubisoft is getting really good at releasing games that look great but run like absolute crap.
I'll be passing on all ubisoft games for the forseeable future.

Feel the same way. sure i could get a fix for it but that would only be supporting the crap so forget them and there DRM and both can go were the sun don't shine.

Don't worry i will not buy them for even $5 if it has that BS DRM. Plenty other stuff to do in life than play games . Thing is people will buy it and people will complain after but it's to late then lol.

i've seen my housemate playing it, and noticed the camera seems more zoomed in - quite often as he was running around, it felt really cramped and he couldnt see where he needed to go next.

I was going to get it for PC but once I heard it had DRM I passed, I'm getting it for 360 now.

I've been playing AC2 everytime I go home from work, everyday, and I havent experienced any problems with it. In fact, I was having more issues with steam installed games than this one..

Skippin' it. Wasn't all that impressed with 1, so the DRM schmucks is not worth it for me to try 2.

Console owners are not treated like this.
It's ridiculous for a paying customer to be treated like a criminal.
The criminals will always be criminals and will always find ways to hack and steal.
The only people this hurts are the paying customers.

This is a huge marketing and design failure IMO.

i was expecting a graphical improvement to game which didn't happen at all, no matter what graphic setting you play with the fps remains same so Multi-sampling Off or 8X the fps remain same.
People even with high end quad core are struggling.

Infact 360 games gets pirated 10-15 days before the release and PC games comes much later closer to release date.

Hope Ubisoft fixes the fps drop bug

I hear the cracked Skidrow version plays just fine. No DRM, no getting booted out of game when internet connection goes down (which way would you rather play).

Of course, I wouldn't personally know as having played the first game on my mates 360 for half an hour, I concluded it was the biggest pile of boring wank ever, so have no interest in AC2.

But their have been a couple of games that I have bought in the past, that ultimately ended up in me downloadeding cracked version in order to be able to play them under my own terms (i.e. no STEAM).

technically true, but you cant get very far in without ending up at a blank white screen and unable to continue the game. I tested cracks on my housemates copy.

The crack does not work thats final.

If ubisoft would have removed the DRM and worked on fps this could be one of the best games this year as the gameplay , story is of top notch

Well, I don't care tbh. I wouldn't want to play such a mammoth bore of a game like Ass Creed anyways.

However, if they have actually found a DRM that works, that is as nasty as the DRM that UBISOFT have put on AC2, then this is bad news. Imagine not being able to paly a game that you paid for cos your internet service is down or is disconnecting often.

Well for me, AC2 is a leap from the first.. no more repetetive "3 side mission before main story kill". Story is now seamless, and those side missions like race, assasinate, climbing towers, are set aside as just achievements. There are immersive moments to it like springing out a non linear plan to kill a main target etc or just reading out database entries about the characters/locales in the game.
