asus a8n sli deluxe ocing

Discussion in 'Overclocking & Cooling' started by psychomage343, Jul 3, 2005.

  1. i've got an asus a8n sli deluxe with a winchester 3500. I can get it up to 2.7 at 270x10, but i want to go higher. I'm running at 30c idle, 35c load. I think i got more head room, but i'm not sure. can somebody help. the specs are kingston hyperx 2.5,3,3,8,1t. pci bus 33.3mhz, htt 4x, cpu voltage 1.66. I"m not sure what else to do, maybe the voltages are off. the ram is at 450 with a 333 divider

  3. i tried that, i had the chipset, video card, hddx2, cpu, all water cooled, i just can't seem to get any faster, i'm thinking i just reached the limits of the chip, sux though, only a 500mhz increase, for all those parts

2.7 is already a huge overclock in my opinion, but maybe try an OCZ PowerStream or a PC Power & Cooling PSU which could add stability if you're willing to spend the money.

  6. i just think i've simply reached the limits of this cpu, i can't keep it stable above 2.7, the a8n isn't the best board for overclocking from what i've been reading about it, a dfi lan party will be my next board, for sure
